First, don't post executables to the newsgroup, and secondly, don't post huge files to the newsgroup at all. Remember that some people have to pay for their IS by the megabyte. Your post is 468KB - think about it. -Shred brandonNov 27, 2001, 6:04pm
if people were smart they wouldnt click on that post. It only downloads the
headers at first which arent that big then when you click the message it downloads it. [View Quote] bowenNov 28, 2001, 5:08pm
LoL Outlook express doesn't until you click the post itself ;) It took me
quite a while to download even on my high speed connection. --Bowen-- binarybudNov 28, 2001, 5:39pm

I did, it won't show the size if there's something attached.. only once you
click on it and it downloads. OE is Microsoft evil anyways ;). (ME = Microsoft Evil or Migrane Edition) LoL --Bowen-- [View Quote] lord perceptionNov 28, 2001, 6:25pm

If you don't see the size column and wish to have it...
Right click on the column headings (this will pop up a menu) ---> select "columns..." (this will bring up a dialog box) ---> and place a tick in the box next to "size" If it is already ticked, Its probably hidden over on the right, and you will probably need to scroll over to see it, You may also wish to adjust the column widths by placing your cursor over column heading sperations (should bring up a + icon with arrows pointing out both sides) and then draging them so they will fit in the one pane. captain mad mikeNov 28, 2001, 6:50pm
OE = best thing I have...and it shows all the file sizes for me...beats the
mailreader that comes with netscape 6.0 anyways (I live for tree-views and all these features) plus once I figure out how to get my PGP encryption going it gets integrated ^_^ -- -Captain MAD Mike Jekyl and Hyde...or Android? [View Quote] bowenNov 28, 2001, 7:15pm
LoL why does everyone assume that it's hidden? I'm not computer illiterate
like 90% of the people who use them are :) It's not that it won't it's that it doesn't until I click on it.. which I'm sure is a bug with windowsME.. I'm not going to upgrade or change the operating system because let's face it.. XP is one of the worse operating system in existance.. not that it doesn't do it's job it's what they've done with it to stop "casual" copying. (If you want to defend Microsoft go for it.. I'm pro Linux anyways) --Bowen-- anduin lotharioNov 28, 2001, 7:48pm
Hi there,
> I did, it won't show the size if there's something attached.. only once you > click on it and it downloads. OE is Microsoft evil anyways ;). (ME = > Microsoft Evil or Migrane Edition) LoL If your Outlook Express is not showing file sizes, you may need to set up your columns... For example, where it says Subject, right click on it and select ==> Columns ==> Select any columns which you may want for the Newsgroups. Hope this fixed your reader up... -- _________________________________________ Anduin Lothario ICQ#:17962714 SMS: +278314217962714 More ways to contact me: http://wwp.icq.com/17962714 http://www.anduin-lothario.com _________________________________________ anduin lotharioNov 28, 2001, 7:48pm

LoL it's ok.. it's just funny sometimes when you say it then you read
someone further down later on that posted the exact same thing. It's just a OE bug for WinME.. netscape doesn't have the problem.. it even shows that it has an attachment before you click it! LoL MS just stinks beyond belief.. I'm going to advise everyone now to not get XP or anyother windows OS down the line.. go to linux.. if you want AW too get Wine :) http://www.winehq.com . It's fairly easy to set up if your linux is up to date. --Bowen-- shred no@1.invalidNov 28, 2001, 10:24pm

Some people download all messages and view them offline, especially if they
pay on a time-online basis. Don't be narrow minded and assume that everyone does everything your way, kid. kahNov 29, 2001, 2:31pm
yeah, was fun :-)) but it was a bit bloated for just displaying and image
and ejecting your CD-ROM player KAH [View Quote] |
