I've been having problems with transparent objects while in DirectX mode.
The names and words above avatars make transparent objects disappear. It
JUST started after I installed video driver updates. I restored my old
drivers and reinstalled DirectX and AW, but I am still having the same
problem. http://viper3d.iwebland.com/images/image10.jpg and
http://viper3d.iwebland.com/images/image12.jpg are a couple pictures of
what's happening. It only does that to transparent objects though (see
http://viper3d.iwebland.com/images/image13.jpg). It doesn't happen in OpenGL
or software mode. I would use OpenGL but my video card doesn't support it.
If I use 3.1 it seems I only get that problem with the sprite for unrendered
AVs. I've tried everything on the Micro$oft site as well as a few other
things. Any ideas why this might be happening and how to fix it? Thanks.

Browser Version: 3.2 (Build 397)
COMPAQ Presario 7478 with 533 MHz and 192 MB of RAM
Video Card: Trident Blade3D/MVP4 (63) 8 MB
Display Settings: 16 bit color at 1024x768 resolution

there us a lot of transparency problems on 3.2 , all modes, that involves
objects also. I'm not surprised becuase AW has told us there is transparncy
problems. I just didnt know it did it to the words until now.

It's always done this on my computer, since 3.0. I'm not sure if it was
meant to happen but maybe it's so you can see the text if someone's behind a
glass wall or something.

Thanks for all your help. I fixed the display problem by installing a driver
from my backup hard drive. When I updated the driver was dated mid 2000 but
the one I installed was1/27/2000. I had problems with mid 2000 and 1999
drivers but the driver dated 1/27/2000 works fine. Anyways, that will be the
last time I update my drivers for a while.
