Complicated browser eh? (General Discussion)
Complicated browser eh? // General Discussion
Jul 16, 2001, 5:08pm
I was just looking over the help files for AW 3.2 and it said they added a
new simple mode because some people complained the AW browser was too
complicated. Did anyone here think the browser was too complicated when
they were new? I didn't, personaly... Those complainers were most likely
talking about building =0

nope it wasnt hard at all.....but try going to the gate and you'll see why
most of the newbs need it

Well, I suppose AW is just doing what businesses do - try and get all
business thats possible.,... SO instead of developing the browser for all of
US , they made a newer version for people who arent even here yet (the
newbies who complain about the browser being too hard)? lol

I still land in the gate every time I fire up the browser, the n00bs there are mildly intelligent compared to the ones found at
Alphaworld GZ.

I think the "US" was not referring to the United States, but "us".

I think the reason they did this is because lots of the Juno users got their
Juno/Activeworlds account, logged in once, and never returned. AW then
conducted a survey asking the users why they decided not to use Activeworlds
anymore. One of the reasons were "The program is too hard to use." I guess
they decided to implement a simple mode so they wouldn't lose business this
way. *shrug* I had an easy time adapting to the browser myself.
