What's up with the X disappearing right when my cursor points to it.. -and
why in the great logics name isn't there an item in the Show menu to make
the little annoying X visible. Lack of same surely renders the ability to
show web in 3d view way beyond obsolete.

Actually for some obsurd reason the little X appears at the very top left of
your window.

Yes, I've noticed it there before as well. But now it's a totally different
situation, upon first run it shows as usual, BUT! when I point my cursor on
it, acutally as soon as I get near the square outline it disappears. And is
not showing again before aw is restarted, though still it's extremely
elusive... -in other words impossible to catch.
