Multi user Interaction (Wishlist)
Multi user Interaction // Wishlistdabean eApr 13, 2005, 7:55pm
dont know if this has been brought up before.. But a multi-user
interaction without a bot would be a great idea. What I mean, using Matt888's Stargate as an example.. When a user clicks on a chevron (button) the bot lights it up, and rotates a ring. Every user looking can see the interaction the one user is having the bot do. It would be great to have a cmooand such as create muser or something, where you can have an object effect what other users see, without a bot. Thanks. Bean! steve eApr 13, 2005, 9:36pm
Check out this old page I found a long time ago:
"Global Action System - Animator" http://caesar.homeunix.org/aw/anim/ I think it does what you mean, I tried it in my world and it works great. It requires Caretaker and is hard coded for the AW universe, the source code (Visual C) is available it seems so if someone REALLY needs it in a diff uni they can compile a version of it for that. -Steve [View Quote] dabean eApr 14, 2005, 3:44am
Cool thanks. Too bad AWI doesnt incorporate that into a simple command
