Just a little something that was brought to my attention:
Would it be possible to incorporate html support into picture objects (Tag
200), so one could display html webpages directly within the AW browser, not
requiring the need to have an additional popup or other browser opening?

The issue is rendering the webpages in such a way that they can then have
that image taken and put on the face of the object.

just my opinion, but that would probably take farrr too long to make, and so
wouldn't really be worth the time. AW could add something far more useful.
until then, people can learn to turn websites into jpegs, and upload them!
:)
or someone could spend a month making a php script to do it?

just my opinion.

Yes, I've tried the .jpg image idea and it does a pretty good job, guess I
was just wishfully thinking, but thought perhaps that the AW browser might
be able to somehow be 'tweaked' to read basic html within an inworld object.
Guess that might be a whole new ballgame then though. ;) The idea about
..php gets me thinking though....*smoke fills the room*.......I'll have to
work on that idea :)

If HTML is allowed on objects and AW uses IE as the default browser,
people would try to put code on a site that would attempt to download a
Trojan horse or some other exploit. The HTML security settings would
have to be very strict or there would have to be a way to exclude
certain file types (such as .vbs, .exe, .com, etc.) from being read.

For now, just take a screen shot of the site using a program such as
SnagIt and upload it to a server.
