Armys of flying monkeys... (Wishlist)
Armys of flying monkeys... // WishlistthetravelerSep 1, 2003, 2:29am
(((this has been copied into community and wishlist, sorry i thought it
applied to both))) ...well maybe not flying monkeys the subject line was really just to try to make you read the post. But perhaps Armys..... I log into Activeworlds all the time and it really upsets me when I look at the world list and see these Flagg worlds that are supposed to be community projects but dont attract much attention. I think that if Activeworlds can afford to devote their resources to these projects they can afford the following: What Activeworlds would need to do: -Create 6 worlds 5 of which would be 20 coords and 20 person limit 1 of which would be 100 coords with a 30 person limit -Host all 6 or find a willing reliable host -Run a paintball bot in the largest world -Create a way to keep track of a monetary system (perhaps an X1 with a bank script?) Game Explination: The game is meant to create groups of friends in Activeworlds and further enhance the community, if the community becomes richer no doubt we will have more users. Basically its a bunch of teams (like armys) that follow the general into paintball wars against other teams battling for control of worlds with which the team leader/general may decide what to do. The rules are very much open to suggestion as this is just somthing I whipped up in my boredom. 5 worlds, an infinite number of battling teams. Game Rules: Money -A Poverty team is defined as any team who does not currently control a world and cannot afford to challenge a world controlling team -Poverty teams are the only teams that may compete for the sole purpose of monetary gains -World controlling teams may only challenge for world ownership -A team challenging for world ownership must have more money than the challenged team -A wager will be decided at the begining of each match, even matches for world control, the winning team will recieve this amount from the loser (along with the world if it is a world controlling team) Competition -The outcome of a match is only meaningful if a AWC official or AWC appointed official is present during the match -Teams will be given five minutes before each match to construct a base on their side of the field (side appointed by official) -Teams may only have 20 members including the team leader, however only 10 of these 20 may fight at any given match and the leader must always be part of the playing 10 Misc -There is no limit to the number of worlds any one team may control at once |
