Why has someone not thought of this before. When someone cit expires can
thay create it so the contact auto maticaly removes its self!

Usually sentences that begin with why end in a question mark, noting its
inquiry. And this would be a very stupid feature. What if they renew? What
if you need quick access to their citnum?

A better idea would be when the citizenship runs out a red X will show up
next to there name till they renew it

The red X is a good idea..just one of several things they could do to
improve contact lists (folders/groups, changing privacy settings for
multiple citizens at a time, etc.)

LOL - and I remember in 2001 how people complained that the contacts system
needed to be overhauled so badly. I thought it would be at least two
versions before someone asked again :)

better yet... how about turning the entry grey when the account is expired, or perhaps puting a "N/A" icon where their on-line status would otherwise be, since there isn't much use for indicating whether or not the person is on-line while their account is expired anyway.

Actually, it used to be that if a citizenship was expired, they were removed from your contact list as soon as you opened your AW browser. I think the way it is now counts as an improvement over that, but yes it would be nice to have some way of telling is a person's citizenship is expired... especially if it has remained expired for an extended period of time.
