How about created your own avatar for aw, and allowing transfer between the
world server and the client. This could also be disabled in the world setings. --- D a n bowenSep 13, 2002, 9:31pm

No one at AWI has said they'll be including custom avatars in 3.4 (or in the near future, for that matter). Where did you get your information?

Skinned Avatars are not custom, they are simply represented in the browser as one continuous mesh.

When 3.4 comes out, it would be possible to create a PHP bot that takes
avatars that are uploaded to it and adds it to the avatar list and then could change your avatar to the one you uploaded and it added to the list when you come in the world. It'd be pretty sophisticated and you wouldn't be able to use the avatar list, though. And I think a lot of worlds wouldn't allow it cause it can be used to show obscene things in public areas. Not really.
> why dont aw? all they have to do is change to the quake engine :) will be better for all of out uhh... Depending on the version you're talking about, the Quake engine is probably like four years old. Quit pulling things out of your ass. -Agent1 sweSep 18, 2002, 12:30pm
emm, how about i start shoving things up yours? silly twat
and yes really. i buy almost every game that comes out, so i know for a fact that almost everyone of them has skinning because a) i play them alot, and notice details, and b) quiet alot of games use the quake engines. and im talking about the Q2 version, good enough, and cheaper then the third, so aw might have a chance of affoarding it.
