I don't know if this has been asked for already, but walking up terrain is
soooooooo slow. Is there anyway to speed this up? I have a mountainy terrain
in my world with lots of hills and such and everyone seems to be complaining
about it, since it takes forever to walk up and over :( I had to lower
it to small hills which seems to please people now, but still, even the
small hills take forever to walk over.

Well I know the reason for it. When you normally walk up a hill, you slow
down, its a little thing called Gravity that does this and having it in the
browser adds realism. I don't mind this though. It could be slightly faster
but you shoudl slow down somewhat when goign up hills. I also think aws
gravity needs a little fixing. You fall 1,000 mph and straight down instead
of sloped.

Well holding down ctrl while walking up the hill should make you go faster.
This doesn't speed you up that much. I think the gravity is a little too
much on the terrain since hills that are made with objects doesn't take
nearly as long to walkup. This slow walking speed up the terrain makes it so
you cannot enjoy a world full of mountains :(

Gravity isn't the problem; collision detection is. In AW3 (or something), Roland implemented a new collision detection algorithm in order to fix a problem with going up steps (that Roland somehow managed to screw up), which also slowed down sloped collision. It was never fixed (as haven't the illions of other bugs still in AW after all these years: http://tnlc.com/eep/aw/improve.html for a partial list).

AW just doesn't seem very curvy to me....I mean there aren't enough slopes
in it :) When you walk up a hill(in real life) the speed at which you are
forced to slow down is directly related to the slope of the hill. In AW
however even if the hill is this little tiny rock you walk just as
slow....which really makes no sense at all. If your world has smooth flowing
hills there shouldn't be much of a slow down in speed if you think about
it....but AW doesn't check the slope of a hill.....which kinda sucks.
