Wait and see, im still developing it.. but once its done.. in short..
everything... things im planning for it are... - Individual Settings for each right w/ citnum and ppw support - High Security Mode such as avatar Secure, Citnum, PPW Protection, Set Area Protection. Anti Vandalism and such... - Site to Site Land build (5 x 5) - Thanks to KAH for helping me learn how to do that via the examples - Will have specialist features such as Citnum / Name Sweep (for creating citname/num lists). - Keeps track of all data it finds in differnt files so you can call functions such as "what is the homepage of <World>" to have the bot scan though the world data it has and find the last recorded webpage it has. - MultiCommunications - Similar to the telephone bot but might be able to do some lesser functions of the main bot - Console mode for running scripts - AW Word Processor ('<!Begin Dictate!>' / '<!End Dictate!>' etc saved to file using the bot. - Popup messages - Audable and visible alerts on the desktop when an event happens (like in MSN messenger) - God knows what else, im only just starting it.. getting frames and such set up (VB6 BTW for those who are interested, thanks to Mr Grimm for the OCX wrapper ^_^) but as any PK Core member who just happens to be the person who helps me with my programming will say... there is allong way to go. lol. Who knows what might turn up.. I have a few suprizes in store (including media player ^_^) - Mark anduinMay 18, 2002, 11:12pm

Plus it wasn't any bigger then a normal text messag Why should he get a new newsreader? Posting HTML does NOT conform with news standards, having a newsreader that doesn't display it is good, because it can lead to less HTML posting. My newsreader handles the attachment itself, but I have to save it to disk and open it in a web browser to read the message. Am I going to do that? No, if someone want me to read their message, they can post their message properly, I won't go to the trouble of saving an attachment then opening it in another app just to read some post! It's all about standards and nettiquette... KAH zeo toxionMay 21, 2002, 6:58pm

Actually it wasn't readable, comes up with an icon that you need to double click on to save and run... It comes up in code when you hit "reply" and it quoted... Outlook Express is the worse news reader out there unless you know how to use it properly. I was using Outlook just recently but finally got sick of it because of it being so slow in the AW newsgroups... The reason for it being slow is because I save ALL threads to hard drive and never delete them so that I can look back to years of posting. Outlook Express took over 1 minute to change newsgroups or even close it whilst the community group was listed... It's a bad program. I've noticed that some people using outlook express haven't even got their text WRAPPED which requires us to scroll to the right until the whole sentance is complete. Like you say, I ignore html posts; they usually end up on a kill file if it happens so often. Forte Agent and Free Agent, are one of the BEST news readers out there, fast and fully customizable per group... They also teach you NOT to TOP-POST :) But hey, this is an AW Newsgroup, everyone does it, even I. ,,,,, (o o) /--------------ooO--(_)--Ooo--------------\ | Anduin (317281) | | o The Gorean Scribe | | o http://www.anduin-lothario.com | | o It wasn't me, it was the one I'm in! | \--------------ooO-------Ooo--------------/ zeo toxionMay 21, 2002, 11:45pm
Well smart (no offense) people would only keep a month or twos worth of
posts which is an option in the options menu. I do understand what your saying but if you use it properly its fine and convenient since my i get my email int he same program. The text wrapping thing never appear on this program when i view any mesages i guess it only does that on certain newsreaders. If you use this reader correctly you can read posts without the 1 minute wait as you said and still be able to see html posts if they are you wish to download them as long as its small enough or you can shut it off or just read them as text (i think that is possible). Anyways, i like outlook express its fine with me. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- A message from Zeo Toxion -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [View Quote] pc hamsterMay 21, 2002, 11:59pm
