SDK and Visual Basic? // Sdkjoakim and fredrik \cybertwins\ staiSep 22, 1998, 10:35pm
Hi, I think it's great that everyone (with a bit C knownledge)
can build their own bots! All I know about C is that it's built just like VB (if, then, API and stuff like that). I have never been into C, but work a lot with general VB4.0 and can make Robobuilders with just a few statements. I know VB can change DLL files and a lot of stuff wich C can, so my question is: Is it possible that SDK can be made in VB? Hope so.. CyberTwins kevin maclennanOct 6, 1998, 1:29am
The only thing you can't do with the SDK from VB is set hooks for the
events. I'm guessing the aw.dll doesn't use the __stdcall convention, since the AddressOf operator isn't working in VB5. You can do everything else including creating an avatar, logging in, moving around, and talking. Your 'Bot just can't receive responses from the world around it. I know some people like that, though. :) Kevin k_maclennan at compuserve.com [View Quote] leo maukDec 17, 1998, 4:45am
Could ya use Desaware's "Spyworks" to do the hooking? :)
