New and Improved AV's for standard use? (Wishlist)

How about a more comprehensive selection of standard AV's? These have been
around the block a few times. Would be nice to see something new added on
occassion. I know there is/was an Avatar Convention or something, but
nothing new added to the AW collection as a result, that I know of. AW
could do a new "AV of the Month Club" - take votes and add the winner. Or,
maybe a Mr. & Ms. AV Universe Pageant; crown the winner and let them reign a
year on the list....Heh, forget that last one.....time to back away from the
keyboard. :)

Yeah...it would be nice for some new AVs, but the thing AW bitches about is
that when they update the AV list...the old one is sitll cached...well
AW...FIX IT! In the next version of AW...how about an option to force people
to re-download on their next entry...or just automaticly have the browser
check the DAT for new entried and if they two dont match...update!
But wait, hold on...that would be too helpful for AW...scratch that.. :)

If you want ALL models, sounds, textures, etc. to be re-downloaded
whenever anyone enters a world, do the following: set the "Object
Refresh" to 0 under Options => World => Features... if you own a world.
AlphaWorld's current refresh setting is 100000 (which means it will try
and re-download everything to see if things were updated about once per
week).

actually, 10080 is a week. 100000 is 9wks 6days 10hrs 40mins

Alphaworld you mean, you should clarify that.
Yea I know, they never add anything anymore to that world, just textures
that are barely helpful.
I hacked my avatars.dat file so I have more avatars and gestures (can you
blame me? It's pretty gay to have a world with thousands of users and only
33 avatars, and split that for male and female.), but it only works on my
computer and anyone else who has the modified files.
Speaking of lack of updates to Alphaworld, I asked them if they could
release a simple 1x1 meter object for xelagot's chess script (when it first
came out), and I even offered to make the object myself. The only thing you
can really use now is boards and water pieces, and that looks pretty bad =\
Anyway they musta sent me 4 emails (with like 3-5 days in-between each one),
each one asking a question which I already answered in the original email.
The last one asked me which world I wanted it in (wtf, could I of made my
email any more clear?!), and when I answered I never heard from them again
=/
Btw, I wish they brought back that invisible 1x1 tile in the X object set,
those are real good for bot use, which I tried to explain to them. =\ again

I spose i could have, but that's what i meant by "standard" issue. So, many
of the private worlds have some great ones. Heh, go see "Morning Glory" in
AV's World.....too many good ones to mention....seems a shame all that
creativity isn't being used for the greater good.

I use floor##.rwx for chess boards... makes giant boards, but it's the best
you can do (they're 4x4 tiles)...

Hi, I have used the manhole1.rwx and that other object that looks like it
but with a sand texture think it
was stepstone.rwx anyway it made a good looking chess board. :-)
