Roland should just completely remove the built-in IE "browser" and just
call IE/NS separately. It's a lot easier to do that, plus the built-in
thing shrinks the viewport and the chat history. How fun is that? Maybe
add a confirmation dialog ("Do you want to launch this URL") too, it's
damn annoying when I'm trying to copy the URL and accidentally trigger
the stupid browser. Maybe even have a read-only editbox in the dialog so
you can select the URL, though that won't be needed if AW calls IE/NS
separately.

This somewhat goes along with this. May have been stated also but I haven't
seen it. Instead of showing only the Citizen name and the stuff like that,
they should add another seperator and add "copy", "paste", and "select all"
that way it can be copied without using keys.

If they're close enough to be clicked on, you can just READ their name from above their avatar...

That was not what I meant. I mean in the chat, there should be a way to
copy text instead of using keys.

Is this place full of people like him? I may be new but I know how to work
my computer. You use 3.0 or 3.1? obviously not, because your making
yourself look like a imbecile because if you right click the text it brings
up the following options:
1) Citizen Name
2) - - - - - - -
3) Mute
4) Whisper
5) Add To Contacts
Your "mummy" must be proud..

Nonono, you select the text not the name, and really to me it takes a lot
longer to right click the phrase and do stuff with the mouse when I can just
tap down Control C and get it done with.

Selecting text and right clicking does absolutely nothing, I just tried. I
am a mouse person and I like to do as much as I can with the mouse not the
keyboard.

I disagree-the built in web browser, I feel, is a great feature, about it shrinking your browser size-you don't have to keep it
open.. I use the browser quite a bit, and think it is a great resource-especailly for having friends (or you doing for friends)
critique their website.. with it alongside chat you don't have to go back and forth.. or if your having trouble navigating a
site-the chat is right beside.. not only that.. but to view someone's site you don't have to open a whole nother program-you can do
it right there in AW!

So you don't mind that when you accidentally click a link that you
didn't want to visit, you'd like for it to just launch instantly? Hehe,
I still think maybe a "Do you want to launch this?" should pop up :)

i usually don't randomly click within the chat screen.. lol.. but i know what you mean.. a box that comes up that asks if you would
like to open it in the internal, external browser thing.. with a little checkbox that says don't ask me this again... and it will
just use your last setting (of course you would be able to change it in the settings area)

I know what Tony meant. Sometimes I'll inadvertently click a URL I'm trying to copy off the chat window, if not very careful about where the mouse is pointing when I start to hold down the left button. Very aggravating when the web window pops open accidentally.

I think there's actually a problem about this in the chat window : if the URL is the last word in the line, and you click right from
it (even far away on its right as long as it's in the chat window), your click will trigger the URL. This is a problem if you want
to select the address from right to left, which I usually do : you just can't, but at least you can see it since the cursor is not
the text-selection cursor (it should be a hand by the way). Another problem is that if the URL is not the last word, clicking near
it, but right from it (within 1 character at its right) shows the text selection cursor, and YET still triggers the URL.
I find these 2 problems quite annoying when trying to copy URLs.
