I wish the worlds were "sphereical"

As you know, you can walk past the end of the
world but you can't build there. I was thinking
it wouldbe cool if when you got to the edge of a
world it would show you the other side. For
example, if you walked straight east you would end
up all the way on the west side.

If ya do this roland, please don't put it in the
AW 3.0... wait till AW 3.1 because we don't wanna
wait longer than required :-)

P.S.: Merry X-mas to all

I'm not sure where to start here but i'll give it a go.
Are you thinking of this as a spherical world literally?
If so your idea is neat although, as far as i can see, in practice
unworkable.
I thought of a few so far;
If i teleported to a place on the other side of the equator would my av
spin round as i teleported or would i arrive standing on my head?!
worlds with a registry: how would you get around that? If you tried to
build underground and 'dug' vertically on all 4 sides you would be
encroaching your neighbors territory. You'd claim a whole square at the
top which would get smaller and smaller as you reached the world's
core... Imagine segments in an orange if it helps :)
You also mentioned getting to the edge of a world and seeing the other
side .. well how about world size upgrades? would your neighbors
suddenly change? Or.. If you were unlucky enough to have built right
over the edge itself, would you then own a building in two very separate
parts?

[View Quote] Well, no, not literally round. What I meant was when you get to the edge of
the world it is like you are looking at the exact opposite side, and when
you walk over the line you are at the west edge if you werre at the east
edge. No, not literally round but more like a teleport thing (bump the edge
and get teleported to the other side) except you could see over the line and
into the W side.

You mean sorta like in the original "Land of the Lost" television series
where Marshall, Will, and Holly were on a mountain peak and were looking
across a valley at themselves looking across a valley at themselves looking
across a valley at themselves....hehe, well you get the point :-)

Gotta hand it to the original "Land of the Lost"...they sure did have some
imaginative writers, unlike the new series that didn't last but about a
season.

It would be cool if someone made a world based on "The Land of The Lost."

[View Quote] Yes that is it exactly! Or better yet... when a mirror is in front of and
behind you and you look into one of them... except that in AW there is a
visibility thing so it wouldnt go on 4ever...
