Real computer scientists despise the idea of actual hardware. Hardware has
limitations, software doesn't. It's a real shame that Turing machines are so
poor at I/O.

Oh well.... I cost only $7000 a month. And some nice other working
conditions of course.

Well... Delphi IV is nice. So are VisualC++ 6, VisualBasic 5/6, VisualJ++ 6
and several others are quite user-friendly. You hardly need coding to do
anything with those environments. Just a thought though (and besides, real
programmers don't like these ;-)

Every smart internetter has switched to.... MICROSOFT!!!
Aaahh... then it musta been *really* bad..

<no offence intended to anyone>

LOL, Now that did make me laugh.. Netscape recently layed off 65% of their staff.
Rather like BT in the UK who now offer incentives to gain back lost customers or
keep existing customers, WHY because they are no longer a monopoly and have strong
competition, sounds allot like Netscape's story eh?.

I use Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer, problem is when someone owns
the tracks it is hard to run yours or anyone elses trains on them, the solution
is to use different tracks but then your choice of trains is limited..

Nope.
Choose for yourself.
Me I never really liked netscape.
But maybe just cuz I never really used it on my own pc.
Msie if fine for me. It is integrated in win98 so no extra affort. That is
the biggest real advantage i guess....
But i have no reason to complain so why try something else?
That must count for u 2 i gues.. :-)

Netscape... blech!

I use it from Linux, okay... but I'd switch to MSIE if I could...

Good thing AOL and NS merged... two crap companies reduced to one.

[View Quote] > I just want to see an online interactive real-time 3D VR environment actually DEVELOP. I don't care WHICH one it is but AW seems to be the farthest along...for now. I'm also interested in 3D Anarchy (http://attitudesoftware.com/) and Flatland (http://flatland.com/). Plus I naturally want to improve things (find bugs, make suggestions, etc) so complaining comes naturally too I guess. :) But I try to offer ways to alleviate the need for complaint in the first place, but I've been talking with COF for a while now so I realize it's hopeless for the most part--nothing left to do BUT complain. :/

They did. But that was not the cause of their failure. It rather was a
last-effort emergency rescue whatever. MSIE is standard with Windows, and I
like that. It saves an installation when reinstalling everything on my
computer. And it's integrated in windows. That's why I use it. However,
Netscape ain't bad. It's just that Microsoft had windows to promote MSIE.

I won't depart. AW might develop slowly, it DOES develop. And it's fun.
Unless COF goes broke, I bet AW will get somewhere.
