Yes, it would be nice to be able to show or hide the web window at the press
of a key. It would also be nice to be able to detach it from the AW browser
and Alt-Tab between them so that you could maximize your web view and still
get a good size 3D display. Any ideas on getting all three settings on a
hot key (or set of hot keys)?

Um, why? Just use a REAL web browser instead of this integrated IE shit.

Why is because some people "assume" that you have show web turned on, and
include world policy notes, or other important info on a web page that they
expect to be opened by a create url command which will only work if you have
show web turned on.

Simple: have AW be more intelligent and allow the use of other web browsers to come up. Wee. KISS (keep it simple, stupid).

There again, it comes back to what people have already produced. Many
people have chosen to intigrate their web page and their world because they
expect you to see them side by side. While I personally would preffer not
to work that way, it would not be fair of me to suggest that people's work
be ignored simply because I choose personally to view it in a way other than
they had intended. Allowing an outside browser window to open would also
cause the issue of what to do once it's open. In other words, do you retain
a handle to that browser window so that AW can continue to change the
displayed page, or do you simply open yet another window each time a web
page is asked for, and run Windows out of resources?

Hmmm... There already is a detachable Web Page option... You get it by closing
the built-in IE and booting up Netscape... You get all the (supposed) benefits
of the Built-in IE window without any of the restrictions imposed. Give it a
try... Works for me... :-)
