is there a way to increase the bot limit for xelag? after 50 bots it makes
the bots leave and reenter which in effect makes my greater bot say hi and
bye way to many times.

50? There's only 3 slots in xelagot, but would be nice if there was 5.

av99bot and the service bot allow any number of bots... but: they are
all in one and the same thread, so you can't put too many in the same
application, as they will fight with the aw.dll for breath and choke.
Set up a few folders with av99bot applications, with fewer bots per
application. I would limit it to 10 or 15 bots per application,
depending on how busy they are.

Or are you talking of a world full of bots and people? And one
greeter bot?

If you use xelagot as greeter, it should not repeat itself like that,
it keeps track of session numbers and only greets the same session
once... unles the session leaves and comes back after half an hour.

The problem is that bots and browsers have a perception limit of 50
nearest avatars (sessions), up to about 200m in 4 directions - except
for caretaker bots in global mode. That can not be changed... but as
I said, you can use the xelagot to restrict the number of times it
greets.

Yes, the Av99bot is great. I have about four different Av99bots (with
multiple bots under each instance) running all the time for hosting
clients and have never had any major problems. The only thing is that
you need to edit an .ini file to customize the bots and get them setup.
For some users, this may be beyond their technical ability. But overall,
it is a great program.

Is your greeter a xelagot? It should not be doing this. Please
contact me at xelag at 3dee.nl if you are using a xelagot as greeter bot.
