Terrain with VB - any examples? // Bots

Is there any example on how to query, store and save terrain data using
the VB sdk? The method is different from the one described in the C sdk,
but no examples are supplied, just the list of variables in the readme
file.

Now, before trying to figure it out myself by trial and error, my
question: Is there anybody who managed to get it working already - and
if yes, would you mind to give an example on it?

Any help/hint is much appreciated! :-)

I HAD one I would have given you until my hard drive went "PPPPPPPPPPZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZRRRRRTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHH" (yes that's an exact quote)

if I have some time maybe I can make a new one on my laptop and send it to you, that is if I can get vb installed...

[View Quote] Just the simple subroutines or even some description will do already -
it would save me quite some time; I wish there would be at least any
documentation on it. :-)

From what I remember, its not that different to the AW SDK documentation.
The main differences are the use of aw_terrain_heights(index) and
aw_terrain_textures(index) ... "special" for the COM DLL ...to set/retrieve
the height and texture array values. If you read and understand the terrain
documentation on the AW SDK site, then the readme.txt in the COM DLL
download should make sense. Its not really trial and error.

The COM dll - the ocx doesn't have the terrain included.
