That's true, woo crazy crap. I was thinking of it as not happening
until you hit a certain object. -- --Bowen-- http://bowen.homelinux.com Give me ideas. normlaneNov 3, 2003, 1:13am
They could de-bounce it at the server. Maybe limit consecutive bumps on the
same object to once every few seconds. Norm bowen ten.sardna@newobNov 3, 2003, 2:51am

Or create a whole new scripting system from the ground up that might
allow something like this to be controlled by bots. (ie have a sendeventto(328010,0) would send it to the citizen (obviously not much would happen there) or sendeventto(328010,"Bot1","Bot2") would send the event too bot1 and bot2 under the privilages 328010. This would completely unbog the worldserver/uniserver and focus it towards bots for special events a user may need. -- --Bowen-- http://bowen.homelinux.com Give me ideas. xelagNov 3, 2003, 11:14am
Not necessarily, Andras. If an object has an Action "bump" section,
it is the individual browser of the one who bumps that determines the moment of collision and procedes to act as commanded in the bump section. Properly coded, only the first bump need be sent to the world server and broadcasted, just like th object click/select. With one difference: bots have no collision detection and therefore can not bump :) Alex [View Quote] [View Quote] strike rapierFeb 27, 2004, 9:50pm
A AW_EVENT_AVATAR_CHANGE occurs every [x] ms. Bump events happen every
single loop (so thats currently 40 times a second) - Mark R [View Quote] |
