Does anyone know where (besides grimmsoft website, which is down last I
checked) you can download the VB SDK? Im attempting to make a bot, and
really cant get too far without it...

Well, the latest version of the VB SDK is AwSdkOcx5.ocx if I am correct?
Grimmsoft made it, but his site is down and has been down forever so who
knows...you can get it here though -

Clarification: The Ultimate Paintball Bot will never use the DLL, becuase
it was programmed originally in 1999 when Grimm made OCXs. It would be far
too extensive to reprogram the application for the DLL version.

Demeter, however, was programmed originally by Grimble, who used the DLL
version, which was released just before Demeter's release.

Not really... if you count yourself as a decent programmer and think you
make decent programs *cough* ie: !=Thors authentication system *cough* then
shouldent take you longer than 20 minutes to convert a project, took me
about 30 to convert Echelons 15,000 or so lines of VB code.

What ever you do dont start using AwSdkOcx5.ocx as its out of date and
doesn't contain all the latest 3.3 features AwSdk.dll contains all 3.3
features soon a 3.4 SDK will be released in the dll format ONLY

Whered you get the 3.4 sdk for vb?

Mark, you get ruder by the day. What sort of perfectly structured and easily
maintainable code were you writing four years ago? Only brant knows how the
code is formed and the areas affected by the SDK interface, where as you
don't know shit about it. You're turning into a right little self-proclaimed
know-it-all.

Well at the time I was writing absolute s*it. But I was under the impression
Brant decided to start writing bots AFTER he had a good knowledge of VB,
unlike me who started doing bots something like 3 weeks in, something I
highly regret and dont advise anyone does...

And actually.... we know how the code is formed after Robbie exploited the
use of repeated SDK variables.... and changed the AWTeen IO message with
another users chat session.

And it isnt being a know-it-all... its being a sleepy, tired and highly
overworked 17 year old kid who would do anything to actually get a week to
himself..

You'll be amazed how much interesting things are on the street! Maybe you'll find some live person too :)

20 minutes! The problem is that the DLL works completely differently than
the OCX in terms of multiple bots. You can't just use an array of DLL
"controls." If Ultimate Paintball only used one bot, then it wouldn't be
that much of a problem.

[View Quote] Of course you have to, generally, make sense. Trying to retort with a
pithy response is often beyond you, thus, your obvious trolling comes
in. Sort of like a mix between Eep and Internal Affairs. Not quite the
finess of Eep, and not quite the practice of Internal.

Active X controls are dlls with a specific interface. AwSdk.dll is still an
ActiveX/COM control, it just has a different extension.

AwSdkOcx#.ocx used MFC, AwSdk.dll/AwSdk2.dll use ATL. Same deal, different
method.

The AwSdk (dll) on the server is not the same one from 1999.

It's pretty much the same, except for the function names containing _'s and
variables being accessed via the aw_string/int/bool(_set). A control array
should still work.

Hmmm, I'll have to try that - still a LOT of work to update, but it might be
faster than writing an updated OCX as I described above :)
