Cy Award winning paintball bot to be released as freeware // Bots

I'd like to announce that I've finally given in to all the telegrams
and emails by "concerned" people and have decided to release the 2000
Cy Technical Innovation Award-winning paintball bot to the public.

The bot is currently active in WAR, and supports grenades and frenzy
powerups (with the option to set the exact number of powerups or to
disable them altogether), team scoring, skull cleanups, shielding,
stats (kills, deaths, and ratios), timed matches, boss lists, pausing
and resuming both from the application and in-world, cheat protection,
altitude settings, dynamic addition and removal of bots while the game
is in session, text file saving of all data after every kill, and
network support for up to 256 worlds simultaneously, with different
configurations for each world, in addition to other features not
listed above.

This message is a call for beta testers. If you own a paintball world
and would like to be the first to try the bot in your world, then post
a reply. While the game engine itself is relatively stable, there are
a few bugs in the GUI, on which I never concentrated since it was not
publicly available. I hope to iron out these bugs before the bot's
release.

I thought that it would be a good idea to give something back to the
community, especially seeing as how there are so many paintball
enthusiasts nowadays. The bot will remain active in WAR both before
and after its release, when it will be posted at
http://www.shoemakervillage.org/programs.html.

YAY FOR SURVIVOR! Sorry, I'm not usually like this; I don't usually even
play paintball, but I was on vacation for a *long* time, and wound up taking
a break in what I found to be the best paintball world I could find,
survivor. Sorry... Say JBELL, if you want, after you test, we can work out a
custom bot... Perhaps...

i have no idea what i'm going to do.. i've spent a lot of time working with this bot trekker made that I'm reluctant to just up and
start using another bot.. let's see how brant's is.. i don't like how it ejects EVERYONE (i prefer to warp 3.1 users and eject 2.2
since they don't support avteleport) but i dunno..

That feature's already supported, jbell - you can enable avatar
teleportation or disable it at your discretion.

but if you have avteleport on will it still eject 2.2 users? it should cuz 2.2 doesn't support av teleport

You sound as if you wanted me to release it a long time ago - lol. I would
have, but I just didn't have enough time to debug it - maybe having an
experienced programmer testing wouldn't be such a bad idea?

Well, when I did beta test your first version, before you got the CY, you
stated it was for public release. I was rather disappointed when it
wasn't... When you got the CY, I also thought you had made it available, but
that was not the case... I was surprised because I thought the the category
Technical Innovation was reserved for freely available programs. This is why
I am pleased now that you have finally made up your mind to make it
available to the community.

Keep up the good work :)

Ohh yea... Can you use the phone bot thing... liek you did with WAR and AWteen,
where they could communicate with the same bot?

hey Brant, Why dont u relce the one in WAR, cuz the ones your having people
Beta Test, is kinda a waist of time No Offence, but half the things on the bot
dont work on my computer. I was wondering if the one In WAR like has less
bugs??? LoL, Ive found a ton of bugs on the version i have...

it IS the one in war.. i'm certain it's extremeley modified to make it more user friendly (hence the interface bugs).. i would
personally perfer one that doesn't requre such a large amount of time to start-something you can stick in your start-up menu and
will start without input.. and maybe not having to close it and restart it to change a setting or two would be nice as well..

ok ive got some feedback: ive heard about this scirpt (no idea what bot its
for or what) it might even not be real but anyways.....It is suposed to have
a shield option and count your percentage of life you have leaft until you
die. I dont know how this works or the detail or anything but that might be
cool to add to this. I dont know what happens when you die. Well at least
add shield becuase when the game is goign on and i want to go out and buidl
or something then everyone shoots at me. Of course this woudl only be able
to give shields by the owner.

LOL - more things to add and bugs to fix - see my latest post in reply
to brandon's post above.

Actually, that percentage thing is in my bot too - I disabled the menu
item because it doesn't work yet with teams - more bugs without time
to fix.
