Anyone know what video player I need to play the video file type M4V ?

The most recommended (And widely used) is Quicktime. But you can also
use Media Player Classic or the VLC Media Player as well. Google 'em
for the download sites. :)

Quick time will not play the video but will play the sound.
Media player wont play it at all.
VLC Media Player plays it ok :-)

VLC will play almost anything.
Plus it has the capabilities of reading subs from separated files :)
