Hi,
I seem to have discovered a bug; AW does not seem to handle URLs correctly that have %20 after the argument prefix, for example I was deploying a set of adverts for evo: create picture awportals.com/eclipse/ads/?place=awteen_0n_1950w&name=ObjectYard%212 update=7200; activate url www.awportals.com/eclipse/ The picture just appears white... where as: create picture awportals.com/eclipse/ads/?place=awteen_0n_1950w&name=ObjectYard2 update=7200; activate url www.awportals.com/eclipse/ Works fine. Im guessing AW is trying to save it, failing misserably, and not pushing out an error message? Posted to community and worldbuilders because its bound to screw up some other ad-rotators as well. -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." Futhermore, it looks like there is a problem when loading the new filetypes
(GIF, PNG etc) from such a script, JPGs work fine. -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." "It's our job to know..." [View Quote] andrasJul 12, 2006, 4:23am

The browser assumes the file is a jpeg one because it has no explicit extension.
It has nothing wrong with the escaped characters - they are passed properly. -- Andras "It's MY computer" (tm Steve Gibson) strike rapierJul 12, 2006, 12:21pm
The web browser is set to give the appropriate MIME type though?
Its definately sending a content type of image/gif - or is mime type ignored? -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." "It's our job to know..." [View Quote] strike rapierJul 12, 2006, 12:22pm

My bad - I meant the PHP script I use is set to send the appropriate MIME
type. -- - Mark Randall http://www.temporal-solutions.co.uk "We're Systems and Networks..." "It's our job to know..." |
