I'd like to announce the latest version of my Avatars.dat Editor (A 2006 CyAwards finalist for Best Software!) has been released.

For download and more information refer to: http://www.squailboont.info/avatars_dat/

Changes:
* Fixed a bug that caused the avatars list to refresh and lose selection when name or category status were changed.
* Added the ability to select more than one avatar to allow the editing of certain properties.
- Please Note: All properties will initially come up as blank. Changing a property will automatically override that property for all avatars selected.
* Updated the dialog for Inserting, Copying, and Moving avatars. It now has radio buttons for inserting at the beginning and end of the list.
* Removed the export list from the file menu. This feature was for another project I was working on, but don't plan to finish.

'nother suggestion, any way to make moving avatars up and down the list
more quicker? Maybe holding down the button to scroll them up or down,
and bringing batch jobs into this again, moving a selection of avatars
at a time? :D

Can't you just use the Move to.. button, and select insert after ?
I find that fast and easy

I was handling the AWTeen list, which was just all over the place. Its
hard to keep opening the Move To.. list and rushing down to the right
avatar entry. Plus it gets disabled with multiple avatars selected.

if it is all over, you could start with one categories, like Male that you
have at End
then you just find every male on your list and move to end.
When done with male, you can start with like female, same way as above.
I did Pata's avatar list with 238 avatars that way, and it did only take one
hour.

Well, I am in the process of planning out 0.1.8.0 already. I've come up with several ideas for multi-editing that will make it easier to work with and organize large lists of avatars. Including the ability to select a set of avatars, hold down the shift
key and scroll the mouse wheel, and the avatars will move accordingly. Plus going to have several UI enhnacements for grouping avatars together, etc.

Well, I take a more forward stance on technology that is essentially the standard in say... 90% of the cases these days. I'm most likely adding the feature, which will make it easier for those who do own a mouse with the technology (heck, even I own it,
and I'm a college student ;) ). A mouse with mousewheel can be picked up for $20. If a person is too poor to afford that, then maybe AW should be the least of their priorities at $6.95/mo. :)

I can get mice with wheels for less than 10 dollars.... logitech ones too...

Or... if you want cheaper ones, get a matchbox car.... NM

I can't go for a walk outside without finding wheel-mouses and winXP
cd's just laying around under cars and bushes. There's no excuse not to
have these things.

a KEYBOARD as an accessory in the same box! ;)
