I don't know if anyone is having the same problems, but, since 4.1 I've
experienced an issue of unsmooth FPS, where the movement and rotation could
be "jagged", but anyways, it was always intermittent too. Now, recently
I've noticed that when keeping WLM, or Windows Live Messenger maximized, AW
runs absolutely like it should for me. But, even if its minimized to the
system tray, I have the same problems. I noticed this by turning on my
NView manager to let it run "Always on top". Since this - I can run AW at
pretty much every single video card setting (Geforce go 7800 w/ NF8 drivers)
absolutely smooth.

With a 7800 you 'oughta be able to render anything smoothly, lol... Must
have shelled out some cash for that one. :-)

I managed to get a GeForce FX go 5200 in this laptop, but it's almost 2
years old...

I have noticed the same problem though. Running, and even flying seem to
be a much slower and jumpier affair. I had to turn on "precise movement"
though, because I didn't like sliding 10 more feet after i let off the
arrow key... so that could be part of it.

A friendly tip:
In 4.1 at first, all particles were jagged and then movement by others was
jagged...and even objects that had 'create move' were jagged. I was getting
120+ FPS, but still everything was jagged like crazy.

So what I did was go to Settings, and then moved the "attempt to keep frame
rate at or near---" box from 100 to 30. Then I changed the box that said
"limit frame rate to a maximum of about----" to say 30 instead of like
whatever I had it at (I think it was 200 or so).

And boy, did things work much better. The entire browser is running MUCH
faster ;) You should try it if things are jagged for you in AW, like they
were for me.

That all sounds familiar - but now I keep it at 60 / 60fps at 80vis, and its
sweet, smooth, and I expect nothing less :)
With those settings, 8xAA, 8xAF, force trilinear, Image Quality "High
Quality", I have 24fps in AWGate GZ

That actually was a typo, I did mean 100.
Thanks for catching it YP :)
