Thanks Cryonics For Fixing My 4.1 Problem! // CommunitykennethJun 4, 2006, 9:04pm
I just read deep inside an above thread from Cryonics with the newest URL
fixing a CPU problem I was having. I was getting hugely frustrated, and I bet others are too. So if your computer is freezing up or slowing down a lot using 4.1, install this version: http://objects.activeworlds.com/downloads/awb949c.exe I hope they put his bug fix on the next automatic upgrade and also on the website under Products, real soon. -Kenneth star.Jun 4, 2006, 9:10pm
Does this version keep the computer from freezing after leaving the 4.1
browsers program? I don't seem to be freezing during use of 4.1. [View Quote] deltaphcJun 4, 2006, 9:20pm
Yes, 949c has fixed my problems as well. Thanks Cryonics. I didn't think
it would get fixed before Monday. :P young phalphaJun 4, 2006, 9:33pm
If you read above in the goobzilla forum, the problem isn't quite fixed,
atleast not for me :/ But it really stops 95% of problems, now I just notice performance issues from the handle leak issue. - YP [View Quote] talisanJun 4, 2006, 9:36pm
Yes, this fixed my problems as well, but for some reason made it impossible
for me to remain in my world for more than 2 minutes before things went south. It's in the right direction. I reinstalled 949 without the c so I can play in my world. legionJun 4, 2006, 9:53pm
Okay... this is kind of confusing me... you said it fixed your problem yet
it made that "impossible" before "things went south". Then you said it's in the "right direction". Then you said you "reinstalled 949 without c so you can play in your world"? This is kind of back-and-forward. One condradiction after another. o_O Sorry, I'm still catching up on my English grammar so while I do know most of it, I'm still having some missing gaps in it so it's probably just me.... O_o (P.S. btw my quotes/sigs are now no longer used due to fiasco that QuoteFix has become and I won't describe what fiasco it has became... so anyway... bye-bye to signatures and quotes. ;)) [View Quote] talisanJun 4, 2006, 10:25pm
It fixed some problems I was having yesterday and made new ones which I
found to be unacceptable. So I installed the older version instead because I can live with the old problems for a little while until AWI can fix them properly without creating new problems I can't live with. > Okay... this is kind of confusing me... you said it fixed your problem yet > it made that "impossible" before "things went south". It fixed most problems for me, but if I leave the browser running
minimized for about 15 minutes, then come back, AW is slower than a camel in the desert. star.Jun 5, 2006, 12:05pm
Didn't work for me at all. Never finished loading any worlds, and no
teleporting to another world. I unloaded it and went back to the original. Still freezes my computer after leaving 4.1 if I don't restart first. [View Quote] lady nighthawkJun 5, 2006, 10:48pm

With the original 949 eventually after and hour or two it starts to freeze
up.. for a couple of seconds at a time, that's when I know I have to shut it down and reboot so I can use it for a couple of more :) jaguar hahnJun 6, 2006, 4:21pm
