[VB SDK] EventTelegram (Sdk)
[VB SDK] EventTelegram // Sdk
Aug 1, 2002, 6:56am
I have visited the SDK site (activeworlds.com/sdk) and the grimmsoft VB SDK
site and cannot seem to find EventTelegram. What is this and how does it
work? I can tell it has something to do with receiving telegrams but bots
can't get telegrams and it doesn't seem to work when I've tried it.

You can't find it because it doesn't exist? *laugh*

As you probably do not know...the AW Browser uses the same SDK as bots do.
Telegram events are used by the browser and cannot be used by bots, hence
why they arent in the help *duh* >:P

Yes, we all know that *duh* but it's in the COM DLL and AwSdkOcx5! What's up
with that?

Cause its for later stuff maybe? *shrugs* AW and the SDK both use exactly
the same call commands

Exactly. It's a fully functional (I assume) set of functions and events that
are not enabled, so that it would be easy to support in later builds. At
least, that's what I was told, and what I've come to believe, but either
way, there's nothing you can do with it at the moment. (Unless you're Luke
;)

1. Luke isn't this "uberhacker", he was only a face on a bunch of people.
He's not the only one that can do that kind of thing.
2. Grimm just added in the commands for the heck of it. If you look around,
all the commands are there. Same with the aw.h, the defines are there, but
useless.

Well, whether he is or whether he isn't, I happen to have known Luke to have
accessed these functions, eh?
