Watch out China, your per-capita execution rate is in trouble!
Yeah, show those commie bastards how FREEDOM will always beat them, specially when it comes to kill'in evil do'ers! [View Quote] sweNov 25, 2005, 5:23pm
Didn't read the whole article, but here's my opinion:
If they can prove someone is without doubt, defiantly the murderer (in 1st degree) then, I have absolutely nothing against the death penalty. It may not bring the victim back, but hey, if someone decides someone else doesn't deserve to live, there's no reason they should be allowed to. What I am against though, is the fact that half the people on death row, probably didn't commit the murder, but were just unlucky enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, or too poor to afford a decent lawyer. Or, those who just admit to doing things, even when they didn't do it, after all the stress from the questioning. But other then that, if someone is guilty beyond all doubt (like, they got it on video tape), then let them die. Might seam barbaric, or whatever, but hey, that's just my view on things. I don't see why people should feel any sympathy for people who kill. -SWE [View Quote] sweNov 25, 2005, 5:43pm
oh, and for an example, read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi-Fi_Murders
now, you saying people like that do not deserve to die? of course, unless I misunderstood the article, and it was more about the innocent people, then the death sentence itself. then never mind -SWE [View Quote] baroNov 25, 2005, 5:43pm
Black people and mentally challenged people in texas with only small amounts
of evidence are different from normal people SWE, you don't need the same amount of evidence for it to be morally ok to kill them. Bush is a direct conduit to god and KNOWS who is must die. sweNov 25, 2005, 6:09pm
ya, well, that is messed up, the small amounts of evidence that control
people's fate, but doesn't mean that the death penalty as a whole is bad. Just needs some fixing up. -SWE [View Quote] rossyfox oNov 25, 2005, 7:07pm
I just decided you don't deserve to live because your Internet name
starts with an S. A silly example, yes, but with that wording you were just asking for it. [View Quote] > ...if someone decides someone else doesn't > deserve to live, there's no reason they should be allowed to. sweNov 25, 2005, 11:01pm
emm, huh? O_O
so you disagree? saying that, time in prision is enough punishment for killing someone else? -SWE [View Quote] policeNov 27, 2005, 4:39am

In fact, it would be an obstacle for any one trying to join the Union. When the state kills the killer (hower horrific the crime is), it degrades itself to the same level.
