Greetings all :)
A few of us have been working diligently to put together festivities for the next AWReunion, for 2006 :) More information about all of that can be found at: www.awreunion.com as well as in the AWLife Newsletter of the month at: http://www.awlife.net/content/section/3/55/ Thanks, Poseidon tart sugarSep 6, 2005, 11:26am

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit AWReunion2006 in Chicago You listed a great huge list of events, activities, places to visit and sights to see in Chicago. While there are a wide range of places of all interests, have you taken into account the fact that many of these places are far from each other and involve a bit of travel, which would limit the number of other activities you could participate in? As a person who has visited Chicago quite a few times, while living in a neighboring state, I know that your list includes places in downtown Chicago, while other places of interest are located a distance from the city. This could create some agenda limitations. Do you have a planner that actually lives in this city? That would give you some real intimate knowledge of the possibilities of combining specific events & their fesiblity due to travel... Perhaps giving some thought to what the Reunion intends to achieve will give you a focus on what activities would be possible to do in such a limited time span and the demands of travel. Is the focus to see everything possible or to meet other AWcitizens & have a good time? Anyway, your choice of city is excellent. Chicago and the midwest is a great place to have a meeting and it's about time some of the Internet Chatrooms/programs has it as its' destination for a "Get Together". It's filled with activities and it's also a half flight from each coast. Good Luck with your Get Together.... At this point, that activity list is just a list of suggestions. Once we
get more information together, we can plan an actual itinerary (or multiple itineraries) for people to follow. We've got a whole year, after all! :) [View Quote] -- Goober King Suggested retail price: $0.50 http://www.gkstudios.net tart sugarSep 10, 2005, 2:34pm

hehehe Exactly. To do everythiong on the suggested activities list you'd
need a month and a half!! shredSep 12, 2005, 10:18pm
You guys should hold it in Dallas.
This has *nothing* to do with the fact that I happen to live in the immediate area of the Emerald City. Nothing at all. [View Quote] lioness..Sep 14, 2005, 1:01am
(nods) There is also the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) but ya
wouldn't know it in some neighborhoods. LOL [View Quote] shredSep 14, 2005, 9:27am
Probably just because the pollution gives the sky a greenish color.
I've heard Seattle called the Emerald City, too, so one of these days the two are going to have to duke it out. I'm betting on Seattle. People who have to deal with such shitty weather on a daily basis are not the kind of people with whom one wants to pick a fight. [View Quote] |
