AWLife Newsletter // CommunityposeidonJul 19, 2005, 5:11pm
Greetings everyone =)
I am currently working on putting together the August edition of the new AWLife Newsletter (the july edition can still be viewed at: http://www.awlife.net/content/category/3/81/55/) and in order to do so I would like to put the statement out that we are *definitely* accepting submissions :) So, if you have news of events taking place in your world, your universe, galaxy, or community, please send it our way! All submissions are accepted at newsletter at awlife.net Along with general submissions, we are also still looking for a few Artist Tips for the coming months. Thanks for reading, Poseidon www.awlife.net imagineJul 19, 2005, 5:30pm
HI :)
Posseidon, why is the print on your news letter so small? It's very hard to read. At least it is for me with my eye sight. Would it ruin the news letter if the fonts were a bit larger? If not, please make them a bit larger :) Imagine ferruccioJul 19, 2005, 6:36pm
If you want to make the text bigger, simply hold ctrl then rotate the
mouse scroll wheel. [View Quote] imagineJul 19, 2005, 8:37pm
Thank you, that works great in the news groups, but in the news letter it
doesn't work. Well not on my internet explorer Imagine tony mJul 19, 2005, 11:13pm
Hmmm... actually.. I myself have just tried this on Poseidon's newsletter, and it seems to ignore the setting...

In article <42dda525$1 at server1.Activeworlds.com>, "Tony M" <" says...

IE tends to have only several bugs now, compared to several hundred mostly
security ones in FireFox ;) -- - Mark Randall http://zetech.swehli.com [View Quote] gnu32Jul 20, 2005, 12:31pm
Although i've yet to try it, Deer Park Alpha 1 (Firefox 1.1) apparently
has the majority of bugs fixed and has much better performance http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ [View Quote] strike rapierJul 20, 2005, 6:31pm
Someone needs to shoot the marketing guru who came up with that name.

I have a lot more "security" issues with Internet Explorer, than I do with
Firefox :) Poseidon [View Quote] legionJul 20, 2005, 6:45pm
I like both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, although I am beginning
to find myself using latter more often than the other. 0_o Sincerely, Fox on Fire [View Quote] armygeddonJul 22, 2005, 12:38am
all the technical reviews I've read that compare the browsers give Mozilla
the edge as far as reliability, stability, security etc...IE simply has the edge when it comes to being on nearly every computer that hits the market so it is still the most used, but does us no good when it is only tested internally and perhaps a few 3rd parties and takes for the do do to hit the fan before a major flaw is exposed then fixed. The open source geeks have done it again :) [View Quote] |
