ok - first of all, I would not put on my privs if it wasn't my shift. Not if
another GK was bold, that is.

second - I would never swear at The Gate. Actually, I rarely swear in other
worlds, even my brother's.

third - everybody has their own way of dealing with shocking news. Emotional
outbursts are just that - EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS

Here is a RL example ---
I read about the murder-suicide of a friend of mine and his father on the
freaking front page of the newspaper last month.
The first thing out of my mouth was - No fucking way!!!
The second thing was - Son of a BITCH!!!
and then I flung the paper on the floor.

oh. I'm sorry. Was my emotional outburst inappropriate? Too bad. Nobody
tells me how to deal with shock and grief.

No, that still isn't "ALL" of what this is about. It's much much more. The
rest is too complicated to explain here although I might try. This fragment
shows some of what you can expect in the future. I won't explain further
since you don't seem to understand as you are doing the same thing in your
"I'm a GK, I'm a GK!!" state of mind. You tell people not to bring their
NewsGroup topics to the Gate yet you bring your GK topics to the NewsGroups.
Such as when you were in your heated battle with Alaskan Shadow about
something that occured at the Gate yet you took upon yourself and went way
beyond GK means to come here venting over that incident. By now most of us
know that yes indeed you are a GK! We can't all be so perfect Tart.

I perceived that encounter with that tourist and Strike for the timing and
situation that it appeared to me out of interpretation which was affected by
things he and some of his friends have done in the past. Also my past
experience with Strike in the NewsGroups and in my frist covnersation with
him in AWUniversity where I was just as kind to him as everyone else around
me and he turns on me with his Holier than thou - know it all attitude.
Just as rude and ornery as he could be. Because he knew programming? It
wasn't because someone had passed away near the time of that conversation.
I'm sorry that he's felt opressed for so long but I am not the adult that
caused that. He had a horrible snot nosed attitude long before he ever met
me. Could be all the supression he had due to how things have been in CY
and in the NewsGroups prior to that.

I have to agree with Syntax..... what is your point, ORB? You obviously
haven't given a good point about your little problem with Strike Rapier, not

I'm not a fan of Strike Rapier - he can prove this one but this whole accusation you made up (yes - you made it up!) is just silly so I have to pinch in to protect him.
We went through a few painful death in this community and some of us was really shocked by the news. I used much worse worlds when I learned my friend died. I did it with my CT on and with bold. So what? Everyone understood it and - so far - no one complained about it.
Who do you think you are to judge people when they are in a terrible feeling loosing their best friend?

I propose that you drop the issue and go on with your life and leave us out of your personal vendettas.

While you are so busy behaving in your normal manner why not try something
different. Step outside of all your excuses and lies and other related crap
and take the coords you saw in the first post here in this thread and go
build something for Page's Memorial.

First of all, you can't take that stance when you're the one who started
the whole argument here.

Second, I didn't know Page at all. I don't mean to be insensitive,
merely honest, when I say that the loss of Page does not affect me
emotionally. I do find it unfortunate that many of you do have to
experience the pain of loss, but I wouldn't go to a complete stranger's
funeral just because my friend knew them.

It's not that I don't believe that you can experience real emotion from
online interactions - quite the opposite in fact. I wouldn't want to
somehow cheapen your emotions by faking pain just so that I don't seem
insensitive.

I can take any stance I choose. I went and built something even though I've
only known Page briefly. I've built for birthdays of people also with other
people who do the same thing, whether we know the person or not. That is
just what some of us do. A lot of times building with others in AW allows
you the chance to meet others and share with them. That's part of what AW
is about. Chatting and Building. But, I didn't go and build something for
Page's memorial to chat or build with others, yet to share their loss out of
sympathy for those who were close to him.

You can chat and build in a town.

Though you only knew Page briefly, you still knew him, and thus could
genuinely share in the feeling of loss. I didn't know Page *at all*,
thus I would only be pretending if I built something - and I'm sorry,
but I see that as insensitive.

And as for taking this stance, this thread was never about Page at all.
It was about Strike, and you wanting to get him into trouble.
