I must admit that what Marnie asked for was very obvious, She didnt ask
for the code, she asked for a list of masks objects.activeworlds.com/aw/textures << Any Zip file in there = Mask Not sure of any mask yards in AW Though [View Quote] deatharionMar 3, 2005, 3:50pm

Not that I know of, but masks are stored in the textures folder as
zipped files. http://objects.activeworlds.com/aw/textures/ Any file ending in .zip there is a mask. I suppose you could search the page for ".zip". [View Quote] sw comitMar 3, 2005, 4:14pm
Oh my, you still use the Animate Me command for that? Must be from the days
of AW 2.x you :D create texture method = saves 5 bytes [View Quote] tart sugarMar 3, 2005, 4:35pm
Oh, COOL!!! tytytyty
I usually just buzz around AW until I see a mask I like and Pilfer & Paste it. Also - this sure answered a bothersome question for me. I always wondered why this was so.... Other Stuff you should Note Masks don't seem to work well with some animated textures since it only places the mask on one frame of the animation. If you try create texture ocean4 mask=awd4m you will see that the transparency is only put on the first frame of the ocean4 texture. Although, there are a few exceptions. The flame1m mask, which is already animated to begin with, can be applied to animated textures. TY!!! <bookmarks page> ~TS [View Quote] veraMar 3, 2005, 4:58pm

In 2002, when I made the Corona Yard in AW, I made a VERY large section with
all the known masks. The only difference is, all the masks are turned into coronas instead of a regular opaque object. Here is the coordinates if you want to check it out: 12733s 28441e facing East in AW world. -Kenneth [View Quote] veraMar 3, 2005, 5:45pm

Ummmmm.......... Actually, Marnie asked
"Is there a list of codes you can use for masks..." So primarily she wanted masks, but she asked for their codes. This is either a masked question or a coded question. Or she masked this question in code. Or did she code this question inside a mask? o_O [View Quote] sweMar 4, 2005, 10:37am
yes, but Gnu said: "She didnt ask for the code, she asked for a list of
masks" and my point was, her wording could just as well mean the codes, as a list of mask. only thing that kind of gives it away is that she says the world name. -SWE [View Quote] ryanMar 5, 2005, 2:41am
The AWNewbie website has a library of masks:

Here is the set of masks for the new trees in aw . I did not see these added
to anyone's website or build http://beachdesign.com/awbirthdays/html/tbtrees_mask_and_textures.html and if you use texture surf1 with the mask one can make shadows. tb [View Quote] |
