Dear AW Community,

With the Community pages being down temporarily, we have decided to take
nominations via email for now.
The calender for the Cy events will be redone to accomodate the time
loss.
We have included below a duplicate of the nominations page.
If you wish to resend your nomination or create a new one, please scroll
down and type in your nominations under each category. If you have already
placed a nomination it might be a good idea to redo it and send it directly
to me via this post.
We appreciate your patience and expect all to go well for this year.

Procedures

Your email will come directly to me and will NOT be shared with others.
You only need to submit this form once.
You are allowed to enter a project in only 1 category. (For instance...if
you want to submit a project for Architectural Design then you cannot submit
it for Virtual Art also.)
In the event we receive an entry for multiple categories, we will submit
your entry in what we feel is the appropriate category for you.

Please click on SEND when complete.
Please be exact with information that you supply. All form fields for a
category must be filled out. Corrections will not be fixed unless it is the
fault of Cy team.

Nominations begins January 29th 2005 7pm vrt and closes February 12th, 2005
7pm vrt. (WILL BE REVISED)
All submissions will be up for review at this same location from February
26th 7pm VRT and will close for corrections March 12th, 2005. (WILL BE
REVISED)

Streaming Media
1.. All nominees must be presented in a format that is accepted by Active
Worlds Streaming Media Objects.
2.. There are 2 sub-categories: Audio and Audio/Video
3.. All content must be proportionately original. By definition:
1.. Previously recorded sounds/music/video must be accompanied by original
audio or video content of the same duration.
2.. The streaming media content must have been created for use in the Active
Worlds Universe and may not be published for public use outside of the
Active Worlds Universe or private web pages dedicated to an AW subject.
3.. The streaming media content must be already accessible from a web server
owned, co-owned or shared by the nominee.
4.. No combination of content, where all subject matter is unoriginal to the
nominee, is acceptable for an award.
5.. In cases where original and unoriginal content are both present, but not
of equal duration, it will be the sole judgment of the CY Awards as to
whether or not the content is acceptable.
4.. All nominations must be of a size not to exceed 6 megabytes.
5.. All nominations must have a playing time of at least 1 minute, not to
exceed 5 minutes.
6.. Winners of the CY Award for Streaming Media may display their awards in
award-winning content or in an area immediately proximate to streaming media
objects that are linked to their award winning content. Under no
circumstances will any streaming media content be considered for a CY Award
that contains violent, abusive, vulgar or sexually explicit content or any
content the Cy Awards deem unacceptable. Final decisions on acceptability of
any nomination are at the sole discretion of the CY Awards.
