Why didn't Lady TeaL announce this? I thought she was now the head of the
CY committee ?_? I'm confused now.

just my opinion, but the thing were you can only select one catagory to be
nominated for, is wrong in my opinion.
i mean, what if someone creates a realistic world, which is totally
innovative, and has a great landscape, then wouldn't be fair that he(yes he,
we all know a woman couldn't pull something like that off! :P) cannot be
nominated for all 3 catagories O_O especially since it would take 3 times as
much work.

Lady TeaL IS the official head of the Cys now:)
I have been working with her in the training process, and after this round
she will ready to take everything over perfectly:)
She will be on vacation and during this time, I will be assisting.
Off and on you will still see some posts from me, as she sees fit.
Trust us, we will make sure all is covered as needed to bring you the best
awards ever!
Good luck everyone!

Well.....in all the past awards nominations, we were faced with nominations
that every single category was nominated for 1 creation.
Even in the technical plugins for a build that didn't even have any
technical plugins...lol
It sorta looked like folks were putting thier noms in every category for a
better chance.
This created a ton of work on our end to add each one to every category.
And it may have caused more work for the Community to weed through all of
it.
Last round nominations came in making much more sense:)
(About the female comment....*thwack!*...:)

Hopefully when the voting comes everyone will be fair and actually go see
all the nominees worlds and builds, after all how can anyone judge a world
with out even looking at the all of them. Unless of course it is a
popularity contest. In that case the award wouldn't wouldnt mean diddley
squat. Last year I went to each and every world and build that was on the
list befor I voted. I know for a fact only 2 ppl went into Arabus world
because I had a bot in it. So I wont be participating in any of it this
year. As far as I saw only 5 awards were just and deserving. There was many
better builds and worlds that didnt win that should have because they were
much better than some of the ones that won were. I know because I went to
all of them. People put a lot of time and work and money into their worlds
and I think its a real shame that people didnt even go to most of them. I
myself do a lot of world hopping all thru the year. I love to see what
others do. So come on ppl be fair for once.

Sad but true.
Problem 1 - too many nominations. Unresonable that the common citizen will
look at everything.
Problem 2 - no preview...no picture or description of the nomination doesn't
motivate people to visit.
Problem 3 - too many nominations :P
A direct, clickable link on the nominations list to teleport you there would
also be useful.
'nother unrelated problem is cheating potential in final voting. Just part
of my yearly tradition to point that out. Complained about it 4 years now
^,^
In-world voting booths plz.

Absolutely true. The CY's are not given appropriately and are run by some
who are biased. The awards ought to be given by CY employees in
representation of the company AWI recognizing the efforts of loyal citizens
and not by some citizen who thunk up a way to use, control and manipulate
others by offering a generic award. I give the CY's a big fat 0 for
authenticity.

Hmmmm...sorry you feel that way Sharon.
In all fairness for the Cys is there any way you can please elaborate?
I'm not sure where biased comes into play with them.
The Cys have no employees...we are all volunteers.
Anyways...appreciate any input so we can clear up any misconceptions please?
Thanks,

They're about as authentic as they'll proably ever get...because AWI
supports and sponsors it. For example, good luck trying to to start a
similar organziation, getting AWI to upload your statue object to the public
worlds, and then getting z object rights to place it. Would never happen.
Dunno how you say its bias when it's totally community voted :P
.......Which reminds me! Did last year's winners' in public worlds ever get
their statue? I don't think they did O_o

That was meant to say that I was hoping to stop the coversation. I didn't go
back to see if it was removed.
We get nowhere's with negativity in life really.
Maybe I wander around with my head in the clouds and wear pink shaded
glasses...but hey...what can I say...I'm a product of the 70's:)....never
got into petulli oil though...smelled to much like musk for me.
