seeing as I am the sort of fool that trys to get through life on my own, I now
find myself in a strange place.

after expecting to be a tourist on monday last, I came to find that an AWangel
had extended my citizenship for 6 months.

I had planned to devote this time to making objects, with hopes of selling a
few to defere the cost of being a citizen, and when 'blocked', spend time
sorting all the files I have archived in my past 8+ years in the AWUniverse.

because the AWangel haasnt made themself known to me, I shall then go to the
community with the hopes of giving back something for the extra time I have
had granted to me.

what objected is needed in the community?

Ya know... I've been asking for a particular object for years now and so far
nobody has come up with this... Some people, including myself, use the
hot air balloon object to create large sculptures. However that silly basket
always gets in the way! And the balloon part has angles on it. When using a
color code, the flat planes of the balloon alter the appearance I'm trying
to get. (ask me about the problems I had making muscles and the face for my
Sphinx!) The large boulders aren't quite large enough or smooth enough. They
have all kinds of bumpy surfaces or flat planes on them. They're impossible
to use in a "mirror image" when trying to achieve a symmetrical design. I
know there is a sphere object in the OY but it comes with a square shaped
base below it which gets in the way. I know there is a dome and dome shaped
objects in the OY, but they have flat planes on them and not large enough.
If someone could possibly create a large sphere, the size of one of those
hot air balloons, (or larger) it would be sooooooooo awesome!!! And if that
object could possibly depict a color code or texture code correctly, it
would lead to some MAJOR works of art. A few different sizes of perfectly
round, smooth spheres would be so great. As it is now, I find that to get
the look I'm trying to achieve, I have to use a lot of miscellaneous smaller
objects to get the curves or shape I want in my builds. I'm sure the B.I.
would be most grateful too. ;-")

Another thing that would be neat to use in alphaworld would be avs. Not just
the tourist avs but the nice looking ones. Perhaps some animals? I've seen
animal objects in use in some of the other 3D universes so I do know it's
possible. (Not just sprites).

How bout some marble statues for our gardens and/or fountains? Not the ones
with lumps and bumps and flat planes, but smooth and tempting to touch.
Perhaps if we had human or animal av objects that accepted a texture code?
Wouldn't it be neat to have a posed human av that we could assign a texture
like marble or goldcurt or stone to? (Not referring to the CY av! LOL)
Sorta like a Roman statue or Rodin. Something classical..... graceful.

And something I've been trying to achieve through the use of masks, coronas
and other commands is gems. Wouldn't it be awesome to have sparkling jewels
adorning some of the builds throughout alphaworld?? Perhaps something clear
so we can add a color command to it to add more pizzazz? Smaller clear glass
panes (without the trim) would also help.

Also it would be great if we had larger columns. Ones that DON"T have the
square shaped ends on them and can accept texture and color commands easily.

I often wondered why we don't have simple, basic shapes in various sizes to
add texture or color commands to, especially now that we discovered how to
fool the B.I. with remotes. For instance if we had a rectangular object, in
the shape of a bookshelf, that accepted a jpg ..... imagine the
possibilities! Or spheres that accepted jpg's! If we already have objects
that one can assign a picture to, why can't we have simple basic shapes that
allow it? Not just for furnishing a house, or creating a wall..... but
perhaps making a huge marble sculpture for instance? That would be so
inspiring for people who have lost interest in building. (speaking for
myself LOL)

Of course you are probably referring to objects you can make for world
owners and not for alphaworld. But I'm hoping that perhaps ENZO or someone
from AWI will read this and do something simple to improve the object
selection. I know we have a LOT to choose from already and its silly of me
to suggest simple shapes. But I truly feel that if we had those to use, more
people would build, more tourists would get inspired to register, and AWI
would have something that nobody else online has to offer (more incentive).

Ok, that concludes my wish list for objects for now. (Steps down from the
soapbox) Gram me if you need any more ideas. hehehe.

There are sphere objects in AW. tbpictglobe#.rwx added when the new trees
were added. They accept picture commands as well.

We have everything you just asked for on the Arc Object Path lioness
www.arcworld.net. hundreds of globes, and every avatar available in AW is
also an object. and yes, there is a vast array of sparkling jewels, gems and
crystals as well. I have tried many times however to donate some of these
new models to the AW OPs but seems no one ever hears me. Even though they
were offered for free.

Which is bizarre. I mean, what kind of business refuses to add value to
its product at no expense to itself? Utterly incomprehensible.

Well Im certain AW and Co have much more on their plates than to worry about
a few extra measly models to make their citizens a little happier. :) Not
to mention the work required to update their listings to show them and all.

Beware that sometimes activeworlds has glitches with their system for
citizenships, because my husband last month when his citizenship was due for
renewal on one day, suddenly said he was extended for annual date on the
next day, then a week later, he had to renew again.

I don't believe that's the reason. I'm sure AWI has more than enough time
to do all the work necessary to add objects to the OP, and anyway, I believe
it should be top priority to make the citizens happier.

It's likely an issue of liability and risk of adding copyrighted objects to
the OP. Once you put an object on, you can't simply remove it, as many
people would have probably used the object after its availability. Note
that all of the objects added to the Alpha World OP were made just for the
object addition.

Seeing how AWI ignored CMM's button object by email, it might also be a
trust issue. They likely trust tunablues with back-up from Daphne more than
they trust CMM.
