When did they take off Tourist Build Rights in AW? Would be great if they
could have build at the least....

A while back. I thought they turned it back on again though?

I did too, but when I told some tourists at GZ to go find a plot and build
they all gave me dirty looks =/

Tourist building was turned off sometime ago. It was open a few days this
year for people to build at Daphne's Memorial Site.

Hi everyone:

[View Quote] NO.

We had to fight like hell JUST SO TOURISTS CAN GET ON ALPHAWORLD. I don't
think we'll ever see Tourist building on AlphaWorld again (quite frankly, I
wouldn't want it as it just removes the incentive to REGISTER).

Just my opinion :-)

Cheers for now :-)

I think it should be reactivated. The times I have been at AW GZ and
tourists come in asking where they can build, only to be frustrated and
confused by someone telling them they have to go here or there.

And I seriously doubt anyone would want to shell out the registration fee
just to build in AW Prime, the world that showcases the least of what AW is
capable of. Only where AWs been ;)

I would think they'd get mad and wouldn't want to register. You know
building in AWTeen only goes so far. I've been building in AWTeen for years,
but I've decided do a little "switch " to AW. So I've got houses and all. My
friend came on AW the other day and I asked if he wanted to build at my
home. He said yes but then said he couldn't. Then I found out tourist
building was off. I think it would be a turnoff for tourists....Only my
opinion.

[View Quote] Tough one that. My opinion is that it doesn't deter tourists. It's more
of an incentive to register if anything.

If I was building and I invited my tourist friend over to my home and he
asked why he couldn't build with you or next to you, you can simply
reply with "Oh, sorry dude... I forgot that building here is restricted
to registered users. Just another reason why you should register and
join me here in AW."

I couldn't disagree more, HAM :P Allowing tourist building would actually
give tourists that extra incentive to register, because they will build
towns, realize how nice it is to start communities of their own in such an
open-ended place, and later register so they can continue their community
building without risk of deletion. That's what got me to register, and
that's what got so many others to register as well, SW City staff for one,
and look how much they contributed. It's so simple O_o give people a taste
of what AW is like and they will want to build here more often. Completely
bar them from what it's like, and they will not have any incentive to
register, since they will have no idea what it's like.
