Volunteer Position Open-Cy Awards Coordinator (Community)
Volunteer Position Open-Cy Awards Coordinator // Community
Oct 6, 2004, 5:00pm
Dear Activeworlds Community,
There comes a time in most organizations that the originator must take a
bow and pass it along to others to share in the fullfillment that that
organization gives:)
That time has come for me.
I have enjoyed the Cys and all of your participation ever soooo much!
And I am sure I will miss it and all of you, but I will still be around so
what am I saying?...lol
Anyways:)
If you are interested in taking over the Cys to it's fullest, please
email me at alphabitphalpha at activeworlds.com
I will need you to please send me the following info;
1. The reason you are interested.
2. A little bit about yourself (what you have done in the past as a
volunteer, etc)
3. Three references from prominent AW Citizens.
4. What you envision for the future of the Cys.
I am afraid that if there are no interests, The Cys will cease to exist:(
Those interested please be forewarned that they require a lot of time! And
patience:)
The position is strictly volunteer and entails Organizing each years awards,
activities throughout the year, Maintaining the web page, etc:)
I would like to start interviews asap if possible. If it seems we have a
lot of interests, we might take it to a Community vote.
Thank you again AW Community for all you have given and give to the
CommunitY:)
Hugggggs!
Bit:)

It's not a fair award anyway. I'ts a popularity contest. If it was done by
honest ppl it would be doen right. My world was in it and not one single
person even came to look at it. I know cause i had a bot there. If no one
sees it how can they vote for it?

Geeze Ciena!
Sorry to hear your not interested in volunteering.
Maybe you could come up with a solution and suggest it to the new
coordinator:)

I dont think we have ever had an age limit in the Cys:)
Oct 6, 2004, 5:54pm
I would consider it, of course. However as I have no idea when the hell the
next one is I could not possibly say if I would still be here at that time
or not.

Why yes. Just have 5 or so unbiased trustworthy ppl go as judges look at all
the worlds or builds that r in it and let them judge. Some ppl that arent
friends of the nominees.

Can you please hold onto those for the next coordinator?

Thanks for the input!

Thats a longggg way away, I will of course make myself available to help in
any ways that I can, however thats too far into the future to know what I

yw. i really didnt mean to sound critical but it really isnt fair the way it
was because a world cant be chosen if its not looked at. And if they took
the time to look they would see the other beautiful worlds
