Several improvements have been made at 3D Host recently. Here is a quick
overview of those changes:

o Protection against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks has been
implemented on our Web/object path server (just this server, not our two
others). Customers now have this extra protection by default free of charge.

For obvious reasons, I can't go into the specifics about how this works.
However, as far as I'm aware, 3D Host is the only AW oriented host that
currently offers this type of protection for free.

o Disk space has been increased on all of our hosting plans. Current
customers will be upgraded for free. Prices have *not* increased.

o The way in which we monitor our servers for downtime has been
improved. Each server is polled every fifteen (15) minutes to determine
if it is online or not. If a server appears to be down, a second,
separate poll is taken by an external server to verify its status.

Uptime statistics for all of our servers are now also available on our
site. See http://www.3dhost.net/network.html for more information.

o Besides the changes listed above, we will be offering professional Web
site templates for sale and will add a freeware software section to our
site in the next week or so.

Just so you do know, Chicago3D.Net also offers Protection against Denial of
Service (DoS) technologies free of charge.

I just looked at the http://chicago3d.net/compare.html page and it seems
you are right. Both of our Web/OP servers are located in the EV1Servers
data center, which offers the DoS protection. :)
