AWTeen 3.3 (Community)
AWTeen 3.3 // Communityjaguar hahnMay 17, 2004, 11:14pm
Since AWTeen has gotten its upgrade to 3.5, objects have not been loading
for me. I use 3.3 because I can't stand the newer versions...I'm an old versioner. Is there some way I or AWTeen can make it so all objects load and work fully on 3.3? I'm extremely disapointed in the new world upgrade. Jaguar Hahn xelagMay 18, 2004, 8:40am
Have you tried deleting the cache? A corrupted cache is usually the
reason for this, or maybe your connection to the object path is not good. The world server is not really responsible for downloads, it only tells the browser what to download and where to put it, so it should not matter at all if the awteen worldserver has been upgraded, it's the browser's job to download. two things...
there was a lil bug earlier with objs loaing on awteen server overload or something, not just you had the problem... it seems to be fixed now, :-) secondly this should have gone into andras's awteen ng, so just a heads up for next time mmk??? and I know some people don't like 3.5 but 3.3 is lacking oodles of things that are in 3.5, you say, water, and tabs, and toolbar, but actually there where bug fixes, cpu throttle, and tons of tiny things that most ppl don hear about, but they help fix little errors, like downloads, and building :-) [View Quote] jaguar hahnMay 18, 2004, 6:37pm
A couple things....
How can I access Andras's AWTeen NGs? I know about 3.5, etc. I still prefer 3.3 which has no water, cpu throttles, toolbar, etc. And yes I have deleted cache numerous times. Thanks though Xela :) Jaguar Hahn [View Quote] pc hamsterMay 18, 2004, 8:37pm
Hi everyone:
[View Quote] Just add news.andras.net into your newsreader. Connection is standard for all open access public news servers. Once there, just use your newsreader's download newsgroups option to find Andras' AWTeen NG. :-) > I know about 3.5, etc. I still prefer 3.3 which has no water, cpu throttles, > toolbar, etc. I don't like the interface that 3.5 has either. I liked the ability to have the contacts, teleports, and telegrams tabs off to the side like 3.3 and 3.4 did as opposed to having to open a popup window just to answer or send a telegram. Perhaps AWI could make this an OPTION in 3.6 when it's released? And what is with having all those STUPID looking icons for the toolbar? They're too big. Make 'em smaller. I'm cross-posting this over to wishlist to ensure appropriate feedback and exposure. Aside from those things, I really can't complain about 3.5. I kinda like it despite the aforementioned nuances. :-) Hope this helps. :-) Cheers for now :-) PC Hamster Mayor - City Of Hamsterville pchamster at comcast.net Denver, Colorado (my REAL city :-)) http://hamsterville.tripod.com/ c pMay 18, 2004, 11:04pm
