In the old days many of us had spare accounts to store our names when we put
on an o or an e or our loved one's initials. Now at 70$ a year, it is a bit too expensive for just storage. So many marriages etc back then, community spirit etc. Wonder why AW has not figured out that people like to do this and work out a way for us to do it without chancing losing our original names. Would be nice if they would let us use the # after our names, not registering anything after the # sign as is done in object making. This way people could put their rings on, without it actually changing the name on people's lists and without chance of someone jumping your original name. Simple idea, maybe too hard for techies to figure out LOL sweets#G sweetsJan 29, 2004, 6:03pm
correction....it should show the 'new name' on people's lists and in chat
rooms. Anything after the # or a space should not count in regards to our original, paid for, AW name LOL. Any of this make any sense? sweets G cienaJan 29, 2004, 6:36pm
i think they should get a release from us if we change our names and someone
wants to take your original name. I changed mine for 15 minutes and someone stole it. I used to be Nikona [View Quote] tart sugarJan 29, 2004, 9:11pm
That happened to me, too!!!
When I was TheRaven, I changed my name to Lady Riff Raff for 10 minutes to make fun of somebody I didn't like. heh heh heh WELL - somebody ELSE who didn't like ME (go figure) hehehe used another account of theirs to steal "TheRaven". I was TheRaven<dot> for a month before they got tired of my name. That'll teach ME!!! Tart Sugar A used to be Snow White, but I drifted. [View Quote] naughtyredhead oJan 29, 2004, 9:53pm

Well --- I wouldn't want to name names, but her initials are NRH o
LOLOLOL Just for the record, everybody - Naughty and I hated each other for almost 2 yrs in AW, but either one of us knew WHY!!! Turns out 1Unknown was feeding lies about us to each other, to make sure she and I didn't get chummy and spoil his catting around. *rolls eyes* We adore each other now that we've "compared notes". sheeeesh 1Unknown sure talked a good game, but he was SUCH a LoSeR. What a clever idea Sweets, I vision a type of addition that shows your
relationship status when you right click a name. Can you vision a burger stating your single, a burger and fries showing engagement, two burgers, fries, and a coke showing a family, and then perhaps a page you can edit thats built in which allows one to wrote about their loved one, as well as an additional page describing yourself in AW! sweetsJan 30, 2004, 2:35am
Touch of sarcasm, seiya?? It may be a silly idea (yours with the burgers and
fries absolutely ridiculous) but it is something that has been done since I can remember, adding o, e or initials. So why not make it legal so we can all have fun with it? That is all I was saying sweets builderzJan 30, 2004, 2:56pm
I could see this work if you just wanted to add one letter at end of
your name. For example, Builderz would be my main username but there could be an option in the settings to add one extra letter after your name. You could enter "e" or "o" into this, and your name would then look like Builderz o or Builderz e or whatever. Maybe the extra letter could be in a different color? On second thought, that would probably look pretty odd. But there could be some form of abuse with this. What if I wanted to change my name to Builderz PK and pretend to be a PK in front of a bunch of newbies? That's why I think the limit should only be one letter and nothing more. People could be walking around with things like Security, CEO, AW, etc. after their names and try to cause some havoc -- or just a bunch of random characters at the end of their names. Another problem would trying to telegram the person. Could you enter in their cit name with the extra letter (like Builderz o) or do you need to telegram their main cit username without the letter (Builderz) for the gram to go through? Would the uni make an "alias" and link it to your main cit name while you had the extra letter so you could telegram both your main name and/or the extra letter? Lots to think about with this... Another idea would to just have an icon next to your name (like the AFK icon) that shows whether you are married, engaged, single, etc. Builderz http://www.3dhost.net [View Quote] > In the old days many of us had spare accounts to store our names when we put > on an o or an e or our loved one's initials.
