PayPal only for new worlds I think, not for renewals.
I asked about it and they replied "maybe later"

done it out of my own pocket.

Definately. Everquest makes plenty of cash and they have upgraded shit
(that's the only thing I can find that somewhat resembles AW).

AW does accept PayPal visit https://www.paybycash2.com/orders/awnoncheck.asp
and check the select payment option at the bottom...AW uses PayByCash for
non-credit card users (www.activeworlds.com/nocard)

Seems they offer PayPal as a payment option though. Beats me why that is.

Annual price paying with CC : $69.95
Annual price paying through PayByCash : $84.95
Plus the fee from PayPal to PayByCash
I think even money order would be cheaper than that.
When I asked for world renewal I received this answer :
<quote>
At this time we do not offer world purchase or renewals through PayPal. I
have asked out tech people to see if there is anything we can do to ad such
a service. I will let you know if they come up with anything positive.
</quote>
so there is a chance that they will support PayPal directly sometimes :)

I don't see why they shouldn't support doing PayPal directly...I have seen
several other internet products for sale which can be purchased through
PayPal and it appears to be a good service.

The reason is that PayPal costs money for the seller - not to the buyer. Not too much (%2.9), so I think I'll explain it in details to AWI.

Yeah, well the additional citizenships would be worth the 2.9% or whatever

Ok just fer the comparing PS2 games to aw, heres the thing
ur like trying to compare, apples and oranges, they are 2 different things,
and its really stupid to compare them
If you have the money for AW then great, if you dont, dont give everybody
else a problem, do you think we came up with the prices???

2.9% is way cheaper than any other transfer method.
I wouldn't mind it AW would add 5% to the cit. price for
PayPal users but anything close to or even above 20% is
too much for just transporting the money.
It is even cheaper to physically send money with UPS,
including insurance, than most money transfer methods.

Actually, I was referring to the PC version of the game but I'm sure the
same still applies.
I'm not looking to give anyone hell, I'm just voicing my opinion. I didn't
know it cause so much conflict...

It is largely because AW allows dynamic building. The games you are
comparing it to are all prerendered in the bsp. You want to add something
you have to rerez the whole thing
