Why is E N Z O 's world closed?

I would suspect the reason is that it's his *personal* world and he _wants_ it to be closed. It really isn't any of your or my business what he does in there. Why exactly does it matter, anyway?

Err.... aw will only get more cits when the prices go down and I doubt that
will happen because AW INC did a stupid thing.

Cheaper cit prices at say $10 and then take it up to the original $19.95

That way they can take advantage of people who don't want to pay more than
$10 and then the old people who paid $20.

Simple!

Lol

umm now now, if we want aw to stay OPEN...hehe, maybe $39.95, i think that's
the perfect price. ten dollars is just pathetic, twenty is what got us into
this.

Maki.. you mised the point... when it was $20 people wanted to be cits but
STILL couldn't afford it.

Put the price down to $10 for a month then back up to the original $20!
People will come back.. aw can't do any worse!

i might be wrong cause i dont know alot about economics , but doesnt the
price go down to attact more ppl and the price goes up when a product is
wanted ? in AWs case , not many new ppl are coming ...

Puh-leaze! The only people who couldn't afford $20/year are the kiddies
who couldn't con their parents into using their credit cards. :P If you
can't afford $20/year, then how can you pay for an Internet connection,
much less a citizenship?

At any rate, I do agree that AWI shot itself in the foot after the whole
price hike fiasco (which went beyond just raising prices).
Unfortunately, the company is (apparently) in such dire financial
straits, that it really has no alternative, unless it can find some
magical solution to make AW profitable. Until that happens, I don't
think you'll be seeing the prices come back down any time soon. :-/

if they wann ahve 150000 $ a year each , then they should work harder , not
raise prices ,and sit back and earn money .

Twenty dollars per year roughly rounds to about a nickel and a half per day. I hardly believe that someone (in the United States, at least) who owns a computer could not afford such an expense.

ENZO'S world closing would effect me at least because I have builds in there
from when I first entered AW in 1998. Cofmeta is what I consider my
homeworld no matter how old it gets.

*sighs*

Oh well, guess I could always rebuild somewhere else, but it just wouldn't
be the same. I've been working on the same build for 5 years - improving and
changing things here and there. It's kind of like a running history of my
life in AW.

Guess it's time to start a new life... it's always sad to say goodbye. too
many memories...

Umm, this thread is referring to ENZO's personal world, not COFMeta. I
don't think ENZO has even looked at COFMeta in years. :P
