Hi all, firstly this is not any attempt to start any flame war or anything
else. This is just a observation from recent discusions.

I am wondering how many people support anyone that would conduct themselves
in any fashion that results if revenue been lost for aw.inc?

We all know the situation this year that resulted in price increase and been
delisted from Nasdaq.

The point is should revenue be lost by reason of people or person conducting
them selves that result in lost worlds and members?

If people conduct themselves that result in lost worlds/cits this is
destructive to the very community as at the end of the day it all helps to
mantian the sustainablilty of the software.

Yes discusions for and against some topics may not be to everyones liking,
but from some follow up postings some cannot leave a topic in the newsgroups
and proceed to follow it into the Universe.

To me any person that proceeds to follow on with any hate campaign does not
support the success of the Universe, quite the opposite, it is destructive.

Yes I know this happens from personal experence, but its water of a ducks
back to me.

I know what you mean, with people leaving the community is always weakened, just think of what happens if everyone else keeps leaving?... E N Z O has to take a pay cut, but doesn't want to do sells the company to Microsoft, the SDK newsgroup gets annihilated because Bill Gates doesn't like to see people are cleverer than him. Wishlist gets closed with a statement saying "What you want has no place in Microsoft", the newsgroups go mad and are then finally all closed. We get spammed by a Microsoft version of ZBOT that changes the Uni IO more than E N Z O in the community spirit and drunk to capacity... advertising us "Windows 2010 Professional", a few weeks later Cryonics body will be pulled up out of a river somewhere near his semi-castle and will have an autopsy only to reveal he was killed by a virus that had been named "corruption.ph1.haha".

I think the NASDAQ drop off was inevitable, mainly due to AWI's lack of external advertising that I have seen, or their willingness to drop prices while they get their services stability up, such as the adverts at AWGZ which cost $500 a month, but if they were dropped to $100 a month, and people invited from external companies to buy them, and then slowly putting prices further and further up as demand increases (Supply and demand curve principle).

As far hate campaigns... all depends how you define them.. If you state you hate someone or something, then that its just being offensive, however if you start harassing people and shouting and swearing profanity at them, then that is not acceptable, and the people should be neutralised.

Granted I know we have allot of people who have been got at, InSaNiTy because of his business ethics (or lack of them), Goreans because of their cross culture differences, various other people and organisations that can be a pain sometimes, so on and so forth. But its important that while flaming someone until they are char grilled is OK to me personally, hate attacks are not.

Just a thought - the NASDAQ listing doesn't really have anything to do with
the current AWI. That problem is the original Activeworlds Corp, the one
that inherited the lawsuit against Juno and all of the former Activeworlds'
problems. This AWI is privately owned, so I'm sure ENZO could care less
what happens to the other company right now.

True, I used it as a example to reflect changes made this year, perhaps when
people where panicing (some) many unfound fears and rumours where been breed
like the easter bunny.

I'm glad its back in someones hands that cares 100% for the software, not
saying it never was.
