Alpha World Building With Special Commands (Community)
Alpha World Building With Special Commands // Community

Hu's China Town is beautiful, no doubt about it; however, why are some
citizens able to build with special commands, and others are not? Hu, not
to pick on you, so I'll also mention Tyrell.
I consider that Builder Discrimination.

There are codes...some have been removed by awi but there is one that
*still* works (otherwise, he used the old commands and objects continue to
rotate after the code is disabled). They're made up of comma's dot's and
semi-colon's :) Though some people have *spewed* them out in here, we shall
not to prevent awi from disabling the current working codes, hehe.

Heh, interesting this topic comes up at this time.
I was talking with 9 9 9 tonight about special command work-arounds and he
said they will work up until the next database rebuild, which is what
usually happens when the server crashes or the database becomes corrupt. I
think it will totally prevent anything with the current work-around codes in
AW from working what-so-ever which sucks bigtime considering all the amazing
stuff that has been built in AW with these "cheats."
Too bad, AWC. Why didn't you just enable it in the first place... *sigh*
Oh, and you don't need to worry about them knowing about the current codes
because they already know about 'em. They monitor people using the special
commands, so it's alright if you say 'em in here. Heck, this place is the
last place an AWC employee would look, and we all know that as a fact. ;-P

Yes, Take a look at AWTeen. The only vandalism there involves actually
putting the object there. Not with the move or rotate commands.

yeah, and is really the best public building world in my opinion. The only
thing AW has over AWTeen is the massive loads of space. However, AWTeen has
nox (the weather bot, going to be made even better when 3.4 comes), demeter
(the terrain bot that allows terrain to be used by everyone), special
commands, z object use, countless objects with more added each month, a
"large" building setting, a thriving community, events, their own GK's and
PK's (named different of course), and two top notch Caretakers!
I hope I didn't get into a sales type pitch, but seriously, AWTeen is the
BEST public building world out there, 3000 coords in each directions, and a
lot of free space :-)
(just for the record, AWTeen is not only for teens, nor is it full of
immature teens.)

Whenever we end up with like less than 10% free space on the map, AWI
upgrades by 1000 coords.

actually..the only real technology being utilized is demeter..which is also full of awful errors...nox is not publicly used, but it
does annoy the public, and maybe awteen has rotation and move commands enabled, but oh well :)

There's not excessive fog, at least not that I have noticed. Nox has been
working wonderfully and I think it looks great. AWTeen has all the textures
AW has plus a bunch more. Nox doesn't annoy me, as I already said. Demeter
does have a lot of bugs and I think it needs a little fixing up. Maybe Brant
will give us a new version when he's got the time. ;-)

The bright night is annoying. If you want night then make it properly. 4
hours of darkness won't harm anyone.

Well the people in AWTeen were pissed about the darkness so this was the way
to make it sort of look like night without making it dark.

Actually, when I can't see past a certain distance for a month, it's
excessive, and awteen doesn't have such textures as tile15, tile25, and few
others commonly used in alphaworld..

Though if they do have to rebuild the database, they can just close the
world, enable move/rotate for everyone, rebuild, and set the rights back
when done. That shouldn't break the objects with the special codes.
