Actually, AWC's been delisted for some time now. I'm not entirely
certain when they were delisted, but they are now officially on the OTC:BB. As for all the other changes, visit AWNews once in a while, will ya? ;) [View Quote] > ok, well, after checking to see that flagg had that name change fee > updated on the site (which by the way it wasn't) I noticed how they had > the time to remove their ticker symbol and the corporation mark from the > bottom of the page, changed to activeworlds inc...(obviously)..I also > went to see that the board of directors page was changed to some > executives page, only rick and jp are noted on it, though the nasdaq > still has them listed...(are they ever going to be delisted?) changes > changes changes, I think they need to inform us more of what is going on > with the company...and what's in the future for it..ehh > > > -- > maki www.awmaki.com <http://www.awmaki.com> > > > > > -- Goober King How many subtle hints does he need to give?! robrod at prism.net eepJul 26, 2002, 1:54am
Remember, AWI is no longer AWC, which AWLD belongs to. AWI is no longer a publically-traded company.
But I agree Rick and JP need to let us know what's going on. They desperately need to learn public relations... so does AWC still manage Active Worlds? or have all the employees just been
rehired by the new company? J [View Quote] wendelJul 26, 2002, 3:11pm
AWCorp is a publicly registered corporation whose wholy owned subsidiary was
AWInc. AWInc owns all the rights to the AW software. After a proxy skirmish and as part of the 7/10/02 "agreement", AWCorp sold 100% of AWInc to Rick and JP for their stock in AWCorp. Therefore AWCorp has the cash and rights to the Juno lawsuit for assets and remains a publically traded company (shell) on the "pink sheets", I believe. AWInc (owned now by Rick and JP) is the visible operator of Active Worlds and hence the face-lift on the web pages. W. [View Quote] -- maki www.awmaki.com tony mJul 26, 2002, 5:58pm
AWC has nothing to do with AW.

The same people involved with AW are still there, most likely; just the independent directors are gone. Perhaps some people were let go but with Roland, Hamfon, and Crusty Lu leaving recently, it probably wasn't necessary. ;)

I agree we need to be informed. However, if I were an employee of
Activeworlds, I'd be cautious of what I released. There are people that would broadcast a private telegram all over creation to bully someone into keeping their word, promise or just to irritate around here. The unfortunate part of not hearing from them is we don't get to know their side of the story in regards to what is going on. It is an asset to keep communication open between us and them - they have the authority to market, make money for themselves and hopefully us. They also have the ability to make us miserable by changing textures on an object, ignoring an idea, changing the panorama to something not building friendly and the like. Everyone would benefit by trying to meet halfway. I seem to notice that when we treat them respectfully (which doesn't include broadcasting telegrams, cursing at them in the NG, bashing their public relations abilities, personal digs) they seem to come out. Please read Aesop's Fable at http://63.64.191.194/audio/bedtime4.html . If you know of something nice the company has done, it's just as important to post that in the NG as well as a complaint.
