Does anyone know a URL where you can read AWCs latest company report please?
- Mark brantApr 7, 2002, 1:40pm
The report is listed on a certain government entity's website. Eep always
said that people who posted URL's with, or otherwise used those three initials in this newsgroup, had their accounts temporarily disabled and the posts deleted automatically by the server. Thus, while I know the address, I won't post it here. Anyone else care to take the chance and figure out whether this rumor is true? [View Quote] 83058Apr 7, 2002, 2:25pm

If you need an indirect route, you can find the report at AWNews here:

"Activeworlds Corp. ("Activeworlds" or the "Company" or "we") is a Delaware
corporation which was incorporated on September 5, 1995 under the name Vanguard Enterprises, Inc." "The former business of Vanguard Enterprises, which was the marketing of hair care products on cable television, was discontinued in 1996." ROFLMAO....AWCorp used to sell Shampoo, that explains why they dont seem to have a clue about running an online chat product. Is your hair soft and shiny Jean Pierre? Does it get all the nutrients it needs to remain healthy? :o) -Robbie [View Quote] goober kingApr 7, 2002, 10:23pm
No, that was just the company that they bought. Circle of Fire Studios
(as AWC was called back then) bought Vanguard Enterprises so that they could become incorporated and changed their name to "ActiveWorlds.com, Inc." [View Quote] > "Activeworlds Corp. My thinking is that Eep got banned shortly after he posted one of the SEC
reports for some other infraction, which as we all know Eep is prone to make. :) SW Chris [View Quote] kahApr 8, 2002, 3:28pm
lol, why make such a fuss about the URL to their SEC file? here is a search
result page with all of their SEC filings (BTW, it looks as though they haven't officially changed name to ActiveWorlds Corporation): >http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/formlynx.pl.bpage=results&name=ActiveWorlds&cik= &form_known=&form_other=&first=1993&last=2002 KAH PS. if you block me AWC, you'll be in trouble ;-)) [View Quote] strike rapierApr 8, 2002, 4:45pm

Vanguard Enterprises, Inc. purchased Circle of Fire Studios in a stock-based
transaction, and at the same time renamed itself. They didn't buy Vanguard but Vanguard did not have any current business transactions ongoing or a headquarters, thereby becoming a shell company that is designed to help other companies become incorporated. I'm surprised such an avid news reporter would be misinformed. If I have something wrong then do tell =) Shorah 115213 On 07-04-2002 19:23, in article 3CB0D1D4.40609 at acsu.buffalo.edu, "goober king" <rar1 at acsu.buffalo.edu> communicated to the world: > No, that was just the company that they bought. Bleh. I knew one of them bought the other so COF could become
incorporated and that was the only purpose of that transaction. So I got em backwards. :P [View Quote] > Vanguard Enterprises, Inc. purchased Circle of Fire Studios in a stock-based > transaction, and at the same time renamed itself. One more correction - COF WAS incorporated but was NOT a PUBLIC company (i.e. was not traded on the stock market). This whole trick is needed to be listed on the stockmarket.
