1st the remove tourists, then they kick all users of the 2.2 browser out,
now they are removing citizenships for no reason LOL. data21Jan 9, 2002, 11:57pm
I can't even log into my citizenship, I had a friend enter and check out my
builds and they are now owned by loki1 What the heck is up with that! my citizen number IS 314063 the password retrieval dont work because my email was removed from it also. [View Quote] bowenJan 10, 2002, 12:00am
Someone knows your password. You probably gave out your aworld.ini. E-mail
AW tech support and give them info about your account. Where are your builds? --Bowen-- [View Quote] facterJan 10, 2002, 12:01am

The only bots I have even used in AW are xelagot and Preston.
Xelagot to backup my land, preston to run a few bot controled obejcts. Anyway can I get it back ? [View Quote] data21Jan 10, 2002, 12:24am
Think I want that posted in here for that person to edit them lol
Will tell you when I get my cit back, lol [View Quote] bowenJan 10, 2002, 12:25am
Wow, someone must've guessed your password. That's not an easy task :)
E-mail tech support at AW. --Bowen-- [View Quote] lanezeriJan 10, 2002, 12:26am
Don't make conclusions, that could be it but it might not be.

Well I know I did nothing wrong to get it taken from me, and if someone
"guessed" my password (highly unlikely) They had to be a really good hacker, my password was a random list of numbers and letters. [View Quote] foxmccloudJan 10, 2002, 1:24am

I guess a xelagot script could be configured to steal cits... can it not? anyway if you tell them the last time you connected maybe they can check that that was the last time that citizen was connected on your IP... if they have that kind of log files... Fox Mc Cloud foxmccloudJan 10, 2002, 1:29am
Oh, another possibility would be getting your email password and then using the "forgot my password" option... Was it any easier to
guess ? There were so many people asking if you gave out your aworld.ini, I didn't
know where to post this. Ok, here it goes... Your aworld.ini holds an encrypted password specific to your machine. If someone else gets your aworld.ini, they would need to steal your machine to use it. So, as of 3.2, your safe :). -Joe [View Quote] foxmccloudJan 10, 2002, 1:30am
Hehe my password is even better, no one would guess that it's....
oops. I hate it when I have a good idea for a password and can't even brag about it. lol Fox Mc Cloud "data21" <dbmiller at kiski.net> a écrit dans le message news: 3c3cfca5 at server1.Activeworlds.com... > Well I know I did nothing wrong to get it taken from me, and if someone > "guessed" my password (highly unlikely) > They had to be a really good hacker, my password was a random list of > numbers and letters. sw chrisJan 10, 2002, 2:03am
what citizenships did they remove? If perchance you're talking about
TheTraveler's cit... he was running an illegally hacked uniserver. SW Chris [View Quote] sw chrisJan 10, 2002, 2:08am

Theres a program called "oribot.exe" if you run it, It will say your
encrypted password in your browser, therefore giving everyone that can here you your password (its encrypted, but not hard to get around and use it) Most people dont realize that its there pw, and they just shrugg it off. -- TrekkerX Commatron & Athnex http://www.commatron.com http://www.athnex.com [View Quote] trekkerxJan 10, 2002, 2:59am

hm, you might be quite right - there was an AW browser
on his web site that I didn't start because it looked strange to me. Another risk : you use the same password in all universes and the universe owner can see the password I think. [View Quote] -- "_ | /\ \ / __/ /_ foxmccloudJan 10, 2002, 8:20am

Yes... anyone with privileges of citizen 1 can see the password and priviledge password (well they can see and modify anything actually) Fox Mc Cloud sweJan 10, 2002, 9:02am

Going to assume you mean the data21 account?
If that's the case, how were you able to log into the ng's? :o) Email support at activeworlds.com with the addy you had under cit options, the real life info you gave when you registered and the type of credit card you used (not paranoid about sending mine in email to support) .. lol.. but if you choose not to do that then just send the last 5 numbers on it. Hope it goes well for you and when you are able to get back in do change your pass (make it at least 8 characters with a combo of letters, characters and numbers). Most pass scrambling fools won't waste the bandwidth to spend 20-30 hours deciphering it :o) ack.. almost forgot... change your ppw too and stay away from strange bots and cracked uni's!
