A thought about anti-tourist people (Community)

Some of you are happy that the new funding plan is eliminating tourists.
Think again, tourists are the backbone of AWs future funding. They may be a pain, and annoyance, a weed if you will, but we still need em =0 I know several old AW elders who agree with this ;) The two week trial is an idea, but not even close to being as efficient as the current system. My vote is to wipe tourist builds from the universe weekly, if not daily. That sure beats the 2 week trial I say. john viperJan 3, 2002, 2:49am
Good idea. Plus, you don't want a ton of new Citizens running around
who don't have a clue what they are doing. (Imagine the pain in cleaning up the mess of building experimentation!) I like this idea. Clear out all the tourist builds. That way they get to try it out indefinitely but to have permanant builds and decent social status they must pay up. Rather than clearing weekly, though, set a timer on the objects to where they delete after a week of creation. That way, you arent just standing there learning to build and poof! its gone. -JV, sticking around until the very end of the Universe [View Quote] > Some of you are happy that the new funding plan is eliminating tourists. > Think again, tourists are the backbone of AWs future funding. No way. When I came to AW, it was close to a month before I was able to
become I citizen. Can't say if I still would have become a citizen if I had only 2 weeks with the software. AW isn't like a shareware download with a 1 hour time limit, there's so much to learn about the place, 2 weeks is not enough time. Doesn't make sense to have a credit card entered before you can even begin-in most cases kids don't have access to credit cards unless they've been stolen. If parents don't have time or the interest to take a look at the software with their children, they aren't going to hand over a credit card. Tourists should be able to have a longer time period than 2 weeks, for the kids and for those on fixed income. I agree with a price hike, but don't agree with one as high as what E N Z O's letter proposed. As far as your wanting to clear out tourists builds, I hope I never have to ask for a bowl of soup from you in the soup line. You'd probably knock it out of my hand before I sat down to the table, johnny. [View Quote] sw comitJan 3, 2002, 9:46pm

I was a tourist for over a year. Hung out with some friends, go to know
some people then registered when I was comfortable with the program. When I knew what I was doing, you know? -- - Syntax - http://swcity.net [View Quote] |
