Maybe because you were yelling and screaming like some 13 year old with
idiotic ideas to boot? Xelnaga even tried to tell you that they were no
longer talking about builds and services but you kept screaming about
strippers and fetish buildings. If someone came into my world and started
screaming about how it would be so cool to build a strip club and after
telling them no kept screaming I'd cetainly say goodbye to them.

Seems so many people don't understand that there is a time and place for
things and call people unfair and even nazi's violating their right to free
speech if they are ejected or muted or banned from the NG's. There are some
pretty simple basic rules about being civilized, and for people socialy
mal-adjusted that don't know these rules, they are usualy posted so there is
no excuse. From the chat log it seems to me to be a sort of meeting about
the creation of a town or town related contructions, and in a public
meeting yelling and screeming about strip clubs after the topic has moved on
is terribly anoying and perfectly ejectable. Stop screaming about strippers
and lesbians like some hormone ravaged 13 year old crazy person and maybe,
perhaps, people will stop treating you how they do.

Just a wacky idea... don't have to pay any attention to me.

"XelNaga: we're off the services and builds ideas"

"TrekkerX: STRIP CLUB!"
"TrekkerX: FEDITSH CLUB TOO"

(That's in order too)

Umm...basicly he told you they aren't talking about build ideas anymore and
you continued it. It's not JUST becuase of what you said.

He should've been warned. Clearly that's an abuse of powers. I don't see
any warning to Trekker, either to stop using caps or discontinue the ideas.
Although I don't agree with what was said I don't think it should've been a
BAM you're gone type ejection... that is an AWCom world. Excuse my rant :)

him saying that they are off of service and building ideas IS a warning to
stop saying ideas.....then he keeps talking about strippers....it may have
been BAM but he has a reason and he did warn him

It wasn't a warning of the eminent ejection. It was just a "please stop
talking about this" warning. If everyone else had continued to talk about
it I doubt he'd have ejected everyone, the point is before you eject someone
in an AWCom owned world you're supposed to follow the PK guidelines.. issue
about 3 warnings.. if it continues then eject. Even though I don't agree
with what he said, you still can't go around the guidelines for just him,
that is unless he's been ejected numerous times for the same reason. It was
an open discussion, I assume. A whipser would've even been enough to tell
him to stop :)

It may help for you to read the ActiveWorlds help pages on CHATTING...
http://www.activeworlds.com/help/chat.html

o Never type in all capital letters. WHEN YOU TYPE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING! People generally find this very annoying.

o Don't be offensive. Offensive behaviour is totally inappropriate unless
you are in private and among good friends who have indicated that they do
not mind. Otherwise, you will just annoy everyone and you will wind up
getting muted. Also in certain worlds and areas within worlds (such as
Ground Zero in AlphaWorld) offensive behaviour may be grounds for ejection.

I see why you got ejected, and I would have done the same, your age has
nothing to do with it, after all, AWTeen is for teenagers, you fit in that
age range.

Why talk about some fetish strip club also, when AWTeen is obviously a 'G'
rated world, meaning your idea was just plain "stupid" if you think they'd
start such a place, with naked ladies/men and what not. Another good terms
of ejection.

Yes those are all terms of ejection.. I agree with him being ejected.. I
just don't agree with how it was done.. he wasn't even given a warning from
what I can tell. Any person who ejects someone from an AWCom world *must*
issue at least 2 warnings before the actual eject. I've not only read this
in the PK world (when it was open) but also have talked with a few
PeaceKeepers.

Ejection for acting like a moron? Is that a new clause in some
guidelines somewhere? No wonder the AW numbers are down!

If you eject all people that act like morons, then you got almost half of
the tourest and lots of other people. There where other people there that
acted more moronic that I was and yet they get to stay....

Those are the PK's, as Xel says further down 'Shit Happens'.
If I need to eject someone in an AWCom world for being a moron, umm, no
warning from me, especially for something as stupid as "STRIP ! STRIP CLUB!
YEAH!'. of course, I'm over-exagerating when I say the above.

Exactly my point, unfair ejection. And if you're going to eject for being
rude with shouting and voilating the G/PG rating you must give warnings much
like AWGate. "Repeat offender, that's why. It says explicitly that you're
supposed to
recieve at least 2 warnings at AW911. Acting like a moron is not a term of
ejection." is my response to someone who e-mailed me a minute ago saying I
was nuts because he's never warned when he's joined.

2 words will cure this problem GROW UP most young'ins do not like to
be disiplined. It's that authority figure thing they have a problem with
has to do with their upbringing..... listen if you conform to society
then you will get along quite well in AW.... if not well you'll go
around life with that little cloud around your head all the time..... it's
a "Many to one" thing.... the needs of the many outweight the needs of the
few....get used to it life works this way......;)

Conforming to society? Hmm. I go do what I have to do and come home, and say

I agree, though. The ejection was justified, but I think a warning could
have been in order.

To be quite honest, it should be your responsibility, as the person who's
committing the act, to know what you can and cannot do. You shouldn't have
to wait for someone to tell you to stop, because in the real world, waiting
until someone tells you to do or not to do something will get you fired.
Know your limits. And hopefully, now you do. :)

That's still not the point, there's rules to follow are for everyone.. not
just the people who do the "unwanted" things. Everyone has to follow it,
wether it be acting normal or warning someone that what they're doing is not
acceptable for the time or area. I still don't agree with what trekker
said.. but I don't agree at all that he wasn't given at least one warning
that he was about to be ejected. Then he would've stopped, but there's the
chance he didn't know better and wouldn't have stopped.. that's when you do
eject. It's a tool and really not something that should be abused at all.
Sorry to be harsh if that's what I'm sounding like.

Active Worlds Conduct Guidelines
The following constitute the general rules of behaviour while visiting
Active Worlds in Public meeting areas (areas within 400 meters of ground
zero). Please read these thoroughly.

Please do not insult other tourists or citizens by use of inflammatory or
offensive statements or images. We ask that you refrain from expressions of
bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity. Please do not harass other users,
including verbal abuse or personal attacks.
Please do not engage in racial, religious, ethnic, or sexual slurs, lewd

Public meeting areas are not appropriate spaces for cyber-sexual behaviour

The use of all caps is considered shouting, please refrain from using caps
unless you are intending to shout. Please refrain from flooding (continuous
posting of repetitive text)as this can be annoying to users.
Activeworlds Corp. or its associates reserve the right to enforce compliance
with these guidelines, which may include temporary ejection from the world

Guidelines

Use of language

The use of profane or vulgar language, or racial slurs shall be subject to
ejection.
You may or may not be warned depending on the circumstances.
Also please read Activeworlds Conduct Guidelines for more information

So, there goes both of your arguments bowen.

Sorry none of what Trekker said was profane or vulgar, but that's subject to
dispute since it could mean anything. When some of the tourists say this
phrase very often, please pardon me, "cum here" they're not ejected. That
could be profane or vulgar, but the people whom say it are NOT immediately
ejected.. the terms for Trekker's ejection were stated as him being a moron,
that is not in the guidelines. This is a clear abuse of power and should be
taken care of immediately, since the fact is, the person was prejudicial
towards Trekker since it seems that he had preconceptions to whom Trekker
is. The fact stands that there should be a warning issued, one would have
been enough to make him stop. Fetish and strip club are not vulgar in their
content since A. Fetish means an obsession in things B. Strip clubs are
usually in communities and C. strip club is not a violation of PG language,
nor is fetish. He may have been shouting.. thus there should have been a
calm warning saying "Trekker, please do not shout in all caps, thank you."
My point is not gone. If you'd like to look up the words fetish and/or
strip, there's an online dictionary at www.dictionary.com . And I will say
again, I do not agree with what trekker said or did, but I do think there
should have been at least one warning to tell him to stop before he was
ejected.
